Suggestions for places to eat and still view illuminations

Can anyone suggest a place to eat in World Showcase where we would be able to sit outside and watch illuminations? I would not even be opposed to counter service and then finding a table outside to sit and eat at. I've been trying and trying to get an illuminations cruise, but no luck. I guess finding a table to watch it is the next best thing. Thanks for any suggestions you have.

You can eat at the Cantina in Mexico and sit on the patio; dinner ressies at the Rose and Crown and REQUEST (but not guaranteed) to eat outside on the patio, the little tables to the LEFT of the R & C are NOT part of thre R & C seating and are open to everyone.

All of the places fill early.

Yes - the Rose & Crown is the absolute best place to watch this show. Just make reservations and show up early - you may just luck out and get an outside seat.

My dh and mine's favorite spot to watch Illuminations from is the China pavillion. We grabbed some food about 45 minutes before the show and sat on the ground near the railing to watch. There are also some benches that you can sit at, but we didn't mind the ground, and so left the benches for others to use. We've viewed Illuminations from several spots (Rose & Crown, Morocco boat landing, Germany (another good place to get food and sit) etc) and still chose China as our fave spot.

Last year we got a Shwarma platter at Tangerine Cafe, then sat outside there and watched Illuminations. Granted, the view is not the best-all you can see from there is the high fireworks. We had been fortunate enough to snag an Illuminations cruise that week, so we didn't mind the obstructed view this time. Actually, it was a very pleasant, relaxing way to see it.
