My Boyfriend and I will be going to Disney World in early March and are staying at one of the Downtown Disney hotels. Since we will be in that area I was hoping to have a few nice dinners at Downtown Disney. Does anyone have any good suggestions as to where to eat?

We love Fulton's Crab House and we have gone every trip! FYI I don't eat seafood and still love it. Ask for a table by a window.

Have you been to www.allearsnet.com they have most of the menus. We enjoy Earl of sandwich & Wolf gang puck express I know these are both Counter service places but they have very good food. We also enjoy Fultons & have been wanting to try Bongos-doesnt get the best reviews but we love Cuban food. Rainforest Cafe has decent food & big portions I think T-Rex would be about the same food wise. And of course Ghirardelli's! but one can not live on Chocolate & ice cream alone...or can they.

Earl of Sandwich was really good the last time we were there. Good for a quick meal, and the prices were great. Plus it was a nice break from the Disney food...

Went to Portobello yesterday for the first time. Doesn't get much mention but the food was quite good. I had the Rigatoni Calabrese. yummmm....

There are a lot of different places to eat at DTD. Which one to go to depends on what you are looking for. I'd suggest you check the restaurant menus and reviews here on the DIS by clicking on "Dining" in the menubar near the top of this page. :disrocks:

We love Fulton's - it's expensive, but really good IMO. T-Rex is fun for the atmosphere, but food is about the same as Rainforest (average).

Highly recommend Ghiradelli's for a chocolate fix! YUM!!!

Isn't it funny how people have such different opinions on food?

I would definitely suggest Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express. Both are good food and great values. Stayed at the Grosvenor a few years ago at ate 3 or 4 meals of the trip at EoS.

Fulton's, however, I cannot recommend. I found it *very* overpriced and the quality was merely ok. I would put it on par with Chilis as far as skill of the chef goes. The fish was fine, but much of it was frozen and shipped in. When in Florida, I tend to choose places that serve local, fresh catches as opposed to shipped in Alaskan crab legs. I know there are fresh choices on the menu, but they were a bit lackluster.

Nicer than Red Lobster, but not worth the premium price we paid. Others love it, so maybe I missed something.

For a counter service location I would recommend Earl of Sandwich and for a table service restaurant I would recommend Fulton's Crab House.

Agreed. Fulton's was way overpriced for the quality of the food. My DD and I enjoyed it but doubt we'd return any time soon. EoS is a great place for a quick lunch.

And, aside from my previous mention of Portobello, Raglan Road is another good one at DTD.

My husband and sons would tell you Earl of Sandwich for a CS meal. For TS meal, we love Raglan Road. Just tried it for the first time last time we were there and plan on going back. Entertainment, atmostphere, and food were all excellent. If you aren't on the dining plan, House of Blues was also good.

Feeling Irish-- try "Raglan Road Dinner" and the Heaven on Earth - baby back ribs in a Guinness and honey glace

RRD, House band "Creel" is a great time with an Irish Dancing girl

Feeling like atmosphere-- try "T-Rex" and the Supersaurus Sampler - Spinach and pepper jack queso with tortilla chips, Brachiosaurus Bruschetta, T-Rexadillas and Onion Rings

T-Rex has the coldest beer mugs and loudest meteor shower every 10 min

We like Bongos and Fulton's best at Downtown Disney. Rainforest and T-Rex are good. I did not care for Wolfgang Puck's, but it may just have been menu choice. Planet Hollywood is a hit or miss. The atmosphere is cool, but food and service have been great or terrible. Earl of Sandwich is great for a sandwich. I like Ghiradelli's or Haagen-Danz for a good ice cream desert.

*kidatheart*, :welcome: to the DIS boards  We love Earl of Sandwich as they baked each yummy bread just for your sandwich :thumbsup2 And of course we also love Ghirardelli's  where we could make a meal out of some of their ice cream treats :rotfl:

We also love, love, LOVE the Earl of Sandwich. It has become a "must do" for us.

Adore Raglan Road~never, ever had a bad meal
Wolfgang Puck's cafe<---I love the salmon and DH likes the sushi and ribs
Cooke's of Dublin and W.Puck's Express are great for quick tasty bites~along withEarl of Sandwich
T.Rex is quite simple Rain Forest with dinoasurs

We enjoy House of Blues and Wolfgang Puck Cafe. Both are very good.

Hi! Counter service we LOVE Earl of Sandwich and WGP Express. And don't forget Ghiredellis for dessert! For table service we always go to House of Blues and Raglan Road - never had a bad meal at either of them!! We also liked the food at T-Rex, if you fancy a bit of theming!
