Suggestions for disneybound costume using a black dress?

We're attending the Halloween party and I am trying to figure out a costume. I'm planning to do disney bound rather than a real costume. I have a black dress I can use and I am trying to think of what can go with that. Any thoughts other than Ursula or Maleficent?

I used a two strand large "crystal" necklace twisted and pinned on top of my head as a tiara for my wedding--perhaps a piece of chunky costume jewelry, twisted and pinned?

Aw cmon! Make a craft foam crown, spray it gold, and pin it in with Bobby pins. It'll look great!! (PS whatever you choose, if something requires Bobby pins, be sure to pack them!!! The only ones sold on Disney property are expensive ones with jewels or whatnot, and those are still almost impossible to find.)

Even a golden colored normal hairband can substitute for a crown, but I like the idea of using a cheap necklace wrapped in your hair. I'm also the type to run around Disney in tiaras.

Haha. If we were at home, I would totally sport a spray painted, cardboard crown! Thanks for the tip about the bobby pins!

My husband reminded me that I also have a blue and white striped dress, which I think would give me more flexibility. I attached a pic. I was thinking maybe Mr. Smee. LOL. Do you think I could pull off belle, cinderella, or wendy in this?

Yeah, I'm sure that's the case. But I think I am going to attempt Belle with it. I'm going to wear a white sweater over it and put my hair in a pony tail with a blue hair tie, and wear pink rose earrings, blue shoes and maybe get a gold purse. Perhaps not the most literal translation, but I will enjoy it more than being mr. smee.

But you'd have a better chance of getting a pic at the party with Smee.....(I'm just being contrary cuz I'm jealous that I'm not going for Halloween!! LOL)

At parties past, Smee and Hook were out for photo ops in front of Pirates. I don't recall Belle being at MNSSHP. My DD--maybe 8 at the time--yelled "Hook is a codfish!!" as he walked by. He stopped, slowly turned, and motioned with his index finger "come here..." She ran and hid behind me LOL. Priceless

With the blue & white dress: add black shoes & yellow accessories for Dory! Red accessories for Mr. Smee (like his hat).

Not true this year! No Smee and Hook but village Belle is there with Gaston!
