I'd love to get some suggestions for dining locations. Our next trip to Disney is in November of 2010. We have been to the following restaurants:

  • Teppan Edo
  • Cap'n Jacks
  • Tutto Italia
  • Kona Cafe
We plan of getting ADRs for Le Cellier Steakhouse... I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

What are some of your favorite places to eat while at DisneyWorld? Sugguest away.... Thank You....... :santa:

In my opinion it is hard to give recomendations because for every restaurant you will find people who love it and people who hate it.

Do you want reservations in the parks or at resorts (i.e. some people who rely on Disney transportation don't like eating at some resorts because of having to take multiple busses)?

What type of food do you like?

What I normally do is read through the Dining Reviews for the restaurants I am considering and see what people say about the food and look at the pictures they post.

In June we were on the Deluxe Dining Plan and ate at over 21 sit down restaurants. Our favorites were Tutto, Le Cellier, Boma and Yachtsmen Steakhouse. However, none of us like seafood/fish and two of us don't really like Beef so finding restaurants that we all like is difficult. Hubby really loved Le Cellier and Yachtsmen but I didn't because their non-meat/non-seafood alternatives were not very tasty.

Thanks.... I understand what you mean about everyone having different tastes. It is sometimes difficult to please all the people in your family.... I definitely want to try to get an ADR for Le Cellier Steakhouse. We couldn't get in there during our last trip.

Are you saying if you make ADRs with a CM over the phone, they charge you? I don't recall that happening. My last trip was in September and I made my ADRs over the phone, they never mentioned a fee and my account was never charged.

Depends on what type of reservation you make. Cinderella's Royal Table and the dinner shows must be prepaid at the time of booking, so you would have to pay for those at the time you make an ADR. A few other restaurants and events (Akershus, California Grill, the Fantasmic Dining Package) require credit card numbers to guarantee the reservation. They don't charge you unless you don't show up and don't cancel.

The post about charging was made by a spammer and has been removed, but this is the relevant information.

I moved this thread from the Reservations thread as the OP was looking for restaurant suggestions before the spammer got involved.

I couldn't get into Le Cellier last trip and tried Yachtsman (2 TS) instead - wow what an amazing experience! The food was amazing and the service was too!

We also really like Kona, WCC, Brown Derby (2 TS), Teppan Edo, Fultons (not DDP), and Marrakesh. If you like dinner shows HDDR is amazing...we liked it so much better than the Luau!

We love Ohana's dinner and have to do Cali Grill one night on each trip. We are looking forward to doing Sci Fri Dine In & Whispering Canyon Cafe for our first time this next trip.

Our must do is Teppan Edo. It's just wonderful - never had a bad meal here.

I also enjoyed Beirgarten this time around. I hadn't been there in over 10 years and mostly because my 1st experience wasn't all that memorable. The food was really, really fresh and they had lots of options. The music was also a lot of fun.

Here are some of our faves:
Konas, Citricos, Yachtsmans St., Chefs De France, Mama Melrose, Trails End, Rose & Crown, Raglan Rd., Tokyo dining
LTT - Lunch only
Captains Galley - Breakfast only

CS - Tangerine Cafe, Kringla bakeri (great sandwiches, soup & desserts), Sommerfest, Starring Rolls, Sunshine Season

who is in your party? are there any kids?

our recommendations other than your list are
Prime Time or Sci Fi in Studios
O'hana or Kona Cafe at Poly
Coral Reef (nice with the huge fish tank views) at Epcot

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!!! I really appreciate it!!!
Just me and my daughter, she'll be 13 by the time we're back in DW.
