I'm taking my cousin on her first trip at the end of April. We have 3 nights and we are on the dining plan. We are both in our 30's and love good food but nothing very fancy and we love cocktails!

Any suggestions of must eat's? We are willing to do a 2 credit dinner but want to know which is the best one for a first timer! I'm going to try to turn her into a regular disney goer!

Thanks in advance!

We've never done a two credit on the dining plan--too many places we enjoy eating; however, we are trying Jiko's at Animal Kingdom Lodge in September based on a review by one of the regular posters.

Since you indicated nothing fancy, here are our favorites: LeCellier at Epcot, Biergarten at Epcot, and Rose and Crown at Epcot (my DH has gotten the beer sampler twice and enjoyed the different flavors/tastes). Plaza Restaurant at MK (note: no cocktails of any kind at the MK), Yak & Yeti at Animal Kingdom. Hollywood Studios is lacking in quality food, but we've always had a good meal at Mama Melrose and great service.

OUr fav 2 credit dinner so far has been the brown derby in the holywood studios. OMG...SOOoooo good!!!

Oooh, a hard choice! Here are my suggestions:

I am a big fan of California Grill, it's not really exotic by any means, but the dishes are delicious and creatively prepared and the view can't be beat. They also have wonderful sushi--and yes, good cocktails, of which I am also a fan!

I also love Brown Derby--the pork tenderloin there rivals that of California Grill. It was one of the best meals I've ever had at WDW.

Jiko at AKL is also wonderful-don't let the fact it's African turn you off. Another great meal with great atmosphere and a killer wine list.

Citrico's is also high on my list; they have more Mediterranean-inspired dishes, but again nothing too exotic. They also have the best desserts in all of WDW (well, anywhere at the GF).

I think these are all 2 credit restaurants. All the ones except Brown Derby are considered "business casual" restaurants, so they're not really ones you'd want to go to hot and tired from a park, they're a little too "nice" for that.

Le Cellier and Chefs de France in Epcot are a bit more casual--and very good food (and 1 credit too!)
