Suggestions for 1 night stay before DVC trip

We are driving in for our DVC stay from May 25-30 at OKW. We will leave home on the 24th and get to Orlando about 6:00pm. We are debating on where to stay for the night of the 24th. Our son is flying in from Nashville and will arrive at MCO at 11:30am on the 25th. We will pick our son up at the airport on the 25th and then try to check in early at OKW. Any suggestions as to where to stay on the 24th? Do we stay near WDW or near the airport? Since we will arrive fairly late after a 10 hour drive, we will probably get something to eat and then chill out in the room or by the pool. We would prefer a place that has a decent restaurant at the hotel or close by. All suggestions are welcome and appreciated. TIA.

If you are checking in the day he is flying in then he can get Magical Express to pick him up so you wouldn't have to go to the airport at all. (if that is what you choose)

We usually priceline a hotel the night before our DVC stay. You can go to various websites that can give you ideas what the current "wins" in the area are and the cost.

Thanks Tink...we're looking at several alternatives...DISboard discount, AAA, MouseSaver discount...I'll welcome any other suggestions.

Hotwire has the Best Western Lakeside available for that time frame for $24/nt plus fees. It comes up as the 2.5 star hotel & recommended 80%.
It's 2 miles or so from Disney, so you may want something closer to the airport.

If you stay in the S. International Drive/SeaWorld area, you may find it to be a nice compromise. Its about 10 miles to the airport (on a tollroad freeway) and about 5 miles to Disney. There are a lot of chain hotels in that area.
