Hi! My DH and I are taking our 3 small kids to Disney next week.
My kids are 6, 4 and 16mo. My 16mo old son is a wild child! ALLLLL BOY! He is into climbing on and touching and tasting and throwing anything he can get his hands on. I havent made any resturaunt reservations as of yet because I am afraid that my son will make a resturaunt miserable after a day at the parks. He gets REALLY crabby and throws a giant fit if I trap him in a highchair for too long without much to distract him.

So, to avoid getting even more long winded, could any of you give me advice on resturaunts that accomidate a kid like this? We would love to have a few meals out...lunches or dinners.

Thank you all so much!

At this late date I beleive your options will be limited. I think WCC at WL would be good if you could get in. Otherwise, you may have to just see what is available and deal with it. Your kid is not the only one with a lot of energy at WDW...you will probably be okay anywhere.

What about Coral Reef in Epcot...if you can get in. Lots to look at in the giant tanks. Keeps all three of mine very interested.

Here is hoping you have some good luck getting some reservations.

If you are looking based on sheer distraction I would say any of the character meals have enough activity going on, Whispering Canyon Cafe as mentioned above, Sci-Fi has a movie running trailers and "in the future" bits, and finally for counter service check out Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland featuring the musical stylings of Sonny Eclipse.

I would try to keep to CS as much as possible. For sit-down, Whispering Canyon is great. Your son will blend right in!

We tried to do the Plaza last time we were there when my son was nearly 2 (and wild) and it was awful. He wasn't horrible, but almost everything on the table had to be taken off or moved to the other side because he was so tired and cranky and he was just grabbing and throwing.

Counter Service was the best. If you do Table Service, find the noisiest restaurants. :)
