Suggestions about replacing a CS for TS?

I *think* I have finally gotten our itenerary set for our trip. However, we just added breakfast at H&V and now need to drop a TS and replace it with a CS.

Here are our options for dinners to drop:

Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern
Whispering Canyon (we're staying at WL, so I'd rather keep this, but could be convinced otherwise)

Any suggestions on which to drop and what CS might be a good replacement?

I already have planned to visit Columbia Harbor House and Pecos Bill for CS lunches. Is there another filling option that might make a good CS dinner spot or maybe one that could replace these for lunch and move one to dinner?

My main concern is that a few in our group are big eaters and I don't want them to be hungry b/c they didn't get enough for the evening, KWIM?

TIA!

Hmmm... Tough choice. Keep Whispering Canyon for sure. Between the other two, I wouldn't worry about which to drop -- just flip a coin. They're both equally good in their own ways, so you cannot go wrong making either decision.

Go to Cosmic Rays for your CS replacement. Big eaters will be very happy.

This is great info, that you! Just added Cosmic Rays:)

So far all of your CS choices are in MK. Should you spend time in Epcot Tangerie Cafe (spelling?).

It is Tangierine Cafe (kind-of a play on words). In that regard, we were pretty disappointed there. It didn't live up to its reputation, and we found both Sunshine Seasons and Cantina de San Angel to be better eating than Tangierine Cafe.

I did take the OP's message as specifically about their MK days -- that they had planned other days for Epcot. If not, then you've hit on something really important: Even with children DO NOT spend all your time at the MK. All four parks need to be in your plans (though, with regard to CS, the only one at D-MGM I'd recommend is ABC Commissary).

Yes, you read me right. It is only the MK days we are concerned about. We are planning Sunshine Seasons in Epcot... and we're skipping food all together at MGM

I would drop LTT. CP has more food options, and the kids love the dessert area. It is very bright and we have always liked it there

I would drop LTT also. The family style dinner they serve there has alot less options that eating at Crystal Palace.

It's also cute when the Pooh characters at Crystal Palace go parading around the restaurant. The kids can join them.

I would also prefer CP over LTT but maybe you should just compare characters and pick the meal with the better ambiance. My DD loves Pooh so for us it would have to be CP. LTT is Goofy, Mickey, etc, the classics.

I would suggest that you drop the first two as they are alright but not worth the points. Consider Capt Hook at the Polynesian as from the TTC is it is easy to get to.
