Before I make my criticism/suggestion I want to say I think the DIS is great! Disney parks are obviously very popular vacation spots, but they mean a lot more to the people here and I'm glad this message board allows us all to connect.
Therefore I find it really bad when a topic related exclusively to Disney and its parks, but not strictly concerned with planning a trip, is thrown into the Community Board amid threads about Harry Potter or Saddam Hussain!
As a Disney park fanatic, when I visit the DIS I always head for the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies board, hoping to discuss the theme parks! I rarely stray into the general Community Board for that same reason.
Over the past few days I've noticed quite a few Disney topics being dismissed from the Theme Park board (including a couple that I started). I understand the importance of keeping the planning board consistent, but do they have to go to the Community board?!
I really think we should have a place to talk about Disney and the parks in general! We have a board for general discussions about Universal Orlando, but not Disney?! That can't be right!
My suggestion is that we introduce a Disney parks (and movies?) discussion board, either by reorganising the current Theme Park board or whatever works best. If you disagree that's ok, but at least think about it.
