WDW have come up trumps..
I've had a couple of complaints and they have just called me to discuss them.
Basically I leave next Thursday and am staying at the CBR..

They have agreed to let me choose which ever village I want to stay in, I can choose which floor and they will upgrade me to a room with a Water View.. WOW FANTASTIC..THANK YOU DISNEY..

We are a couple aged 30/35 no children..

Question:
1. Which is the best village?
2. What floor?

Please advise as I have to let them know by close of biz tonight.

It really depends on you. How far do you want to be from OPR? You can be as close as you want to or as far away as possible.
If you want close ask for Martinique or Trinidad North. Far ask for Trinidad South. As for what floor, there are only 2 floors. We stayed on the 2nd floor in Trinidad North 31 and the stairs we right there, not bad at all. I would probably ask for a first floor w/ access to a courtyard it's nice to sit out there at night.
There is a huge thread listed under the facts for CBR, it's long but has tons of info and Safetymom has TONS of pics!

I'd choose Martinique - and the first floor... ask for a corner room, if you can, for two windows. Also, I believe some rooms have king beds, if you'd prefer that to two doubles.

Have a wonderful vacation!

A lot of families choose the villages right near Old Port Royale. Jamaica is just a short walk across a bridge and tiny island and the walk is so nice. There is piped in caribbean music that really puts you in the feel for the islands. We really liked Jamaica. We were there on our honeymoon (then age 30). I would definitely ask for a king bed. Makes the room seem less crowded.

Aruba is next to Jamaica, over the bridge. Loved the location. Pink instead of Yellow. I'd ask for 2nd floor. That was my first trip to Disney that I didn't hear flushing from other rooms. lol. I've also heard that ground floors may get more bugs....

Go to WDWIG and look at pictures and the map.

How nice Disney is being to you!

We just returned from Jamaica, Bldg 41 room 4133 (corner and top floor, standard view). I prefer a top floor - less flush and foot noise. Jamaica is a 5-10 minute walk from OPR. Next time I will ask for Martinique or Trinidad North so we can get soda refills and food easier. It's a beautiful resort. Each village is a different color scheme. Jamaica is pale yellow with white and blue trim. Aruba is pink. I think Trinidad was a clay color.

It depends on what you want to be close to. If you want to be near the food court, main pool and bar then chose Martinique or Trinidad North.

They are all great villages. I have pictures of all of them on my web site. You will enjoy CBR.
