Trying to decide between Grand Floridian's Sugarloaf Club Level or the Polnesian Club Level. I have stayed at the Poly CL once and GV once. We've never stayed at the Grand Floridian. Which has the better food? We use it for breakfast, happy hour and dessert. Just want overall opinions. Thanks!

While I have not stayed GF CL yet I have read the food was incredible. We stayed Poly CL and it was ok, I think the breakfast, midday snacks and nighttime desserts are the same throughout all CL lounges but the 5pm dinnertime snacks are different and cater to each resort. At the Poly we had a Poly salad, pineapple with caramel, sweet and sour meatballs, potstickers, egg rolls, chicken wings, chilled soup, crab items, sushi etc...the food centered around Polyenisian flair.

I've stayed at both, as far as food I'd say:

Breafast offerings: GF wins - I thought it was a better assortment and I was in love with the pecan sticky rolls!

Afternoon offerings: I'd say the snacky options were about the same but then GF offers tea for a while in the afternoon (with scones and pastries) and I really enjoyed that.

Evening appetizer offerings: For us, Poly wins by a mile here. I really didn't enjoy the SL evening offerings - things didn't seem to be kept to the right temperature and it just wasn't that appealing - so much so that we stopped making an effort to come back at that time for them. Maybe we hit a bad couple of nights because I've read raves:confused3.

Desserts: Probably a draw

Other considerations - I think the lounge at Poly is nicer with a pretty view of the castle. IMHO, the SL lounge was really nothing special. I also thought the CMs at Poly CL were much, much friendlier. A few of the GF CMs that were on duty alot during our stay just gave off a really sour vibe.

JMO only, I would pick Poly CL over GF Sugarloaf. :cutie:

Now if you were asking about GF Royal Palm (Main Building), then I'd pick that over Poly CL. :upsidedow

Again though, JMO :thumbsup2

Thanks so much everyone for your input. After talking to my husband, he thinks we are Poly people. The Grand might be too formal for us. My kids also want the Poly.

BTW, I love these boards! I have been lurking for awhile but I am ready to a full-fledged member of the DIS. I may even post a trip report:goodvibes
