Sudden irritation with Magical Express

While this is true, car seat laws and other regulations regarding traveling have changed, even in Florida since DME was introduced that make this more complicated than it was before DME.
Really? I remember getting a car seat bag to drag a full size car seat through the airport, strapping the car seat on the seat on the plane, going through a plane change in Atlanta, strapping it back in, etc, just so we can have the car seat for our 2yo for the rental car when we got to Orlando. That was circa 2005. I didn't need laws and regulations to tell me what I needed to do to keep my child safe.

Yes, DME made things MUCH easier. I get it. Totally agree. But it's demise won't change as much as I think some people think/hope.

If Mears Connect is $35+, DW and I will take a limo. As silly as this sounds, we will both miss the Disney TV on ME. It just got us in the mood after a tedious flight.

Before Magical Express, Mears used 15 (more or less) passenger vans and DME sized buses on their Disney shuttle routes, depending on passenger load for that hour. There were two stations on the A side and two on the B side at MCO, think: outside both 20 yard lines on both sides of a football stadium. Sometimes after you bought a walk up ticket, they told you it might be more than an hour's wait, sometimes there was room on an earlier van or bus.

For 2022 I am guessing that offering a family discount would have a significant effect on the overall usage of Mears Connect.

Many people love those cartoon clips, trivia and videos.

- a little behind-the-scenes: I was the camera operator for a bunch of those videos. So I sure get a kick out of watching them on my way to the resort...

Are you involved in other projects for Disney?
I will miss Magic Express. My family arrives in December and I plan to take their photo as they exit Magic Express arriving from MCO. It will be one way since flight home is NewYears Day.
I will also miss Stacy on the Disney Room Resort TV Channel.
I believe she deserves a “ Window on Main Street” .
Magic Express Tribute Window?

i thought they were running it for return trips for everyone who started a trip while it was running. (Note: I could be very much mistaken on this because I am not going at the end of the year butI thought they were finishing out people’s trips )

That was my understanding also, there are no airport pickups starting 1/1/22, but they are returning to the airport for a week I think.

No way do I want to spend NYE in The World, but I'd love to be on that last DME to MCO in Jan 22

Depending on passenger count, smaller undecorated vehicles might be used for some of the 2022 return trips to the airport.

The vehicles might include (probably Mears) taxis, Mears Connect if that service is up and running, and Uber and Lyft.
