Hey everyone! Now that Allie has done her Typhoon Lagoon update, I am ready to give you her story of "Suck it Up Buttercup!"
"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation
Tuesday July 26th, 2011 ~ Chapter 12 ~ "SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP, IT BUILDS CHARACTER AND STRENGTH!!!"
Then we decided to hit the storm slides and such. And we were in line for Humunga Kowabunga (I believe...if it needs a raft- yes!) and there's a mom and a little boy a few people in front of us. The boy tells his mother that he does not want to carry his tube. And what does the mother say in response? -drum roll, please-

"Suck it up, Buttercup! It builds character and strength!"

Ana and I thought that that saying was beyond fantastic. I texted Kristen to tell her about this awesome phrase. She ended up adopting it for her trip, since her dad and brother were in need of being told to suck it up! Anyways, the phrase has moderately become a phenomenon between me and Kristen...we say it...a lot. So, thank you random lady! Most appreciated!
Not too crazy of a story, but hilarious nonetheless! Also, like Allie pointed out, this was the PERFECT title for my Trip Report because I spent the better part of the trip telling Mike and Dave to just Suck it Up and go with the plans I had so meticulously made. They were just a
little miffed that I didn't factor sleep in there. PSSH, whatever.
Anywhoo, now that we're all back on track and explainified (made that word up!) we can continue on to the next update!
Once we got to the Marketplace, we took our time getting to Curl.
Hey! We were just there!
A CM standing by Goofy's Candy Co. gave me this:
A Mickey sticker! YAY! I put it on my trip journal. It matches my nails. Hehe.
Winnie the Pooh was Mike's and my favorite when we were little, so this photo op was a must:
Awww. Aren't we so precious?
We stopped in Once Upon a Toy and looked around, and Mike considered making his own light saber, but then decided not to.
We continued along and soon enough we were approaching the West Side.
Ahh beautiful SSR. I really want to stay there someday!
Pretty soon we were at Curl! This store is AWESOME. There is so much cute stuff that I am still amazed that I left without buying anything. I had to save my money for the Disney merch after all.
Mike picked out his belt after much deliberation between the multitudes of styles. He paid for it and that was that!
We headed back out and I noticed that it was getting a tad cloudier out.
We passed by T-Rex Cafe and I thought of Kara (MarieTheCat) when I heard a CM there saying "(last name) party of 4 your prehistoric adventure is about to begin!
She mentioned that in her TR and how funny it was that they say that cheesy line over and over again. So funny.
We headed back to the Marketplace and I snapped pics of a couple of the
Lego statues in broad daylight!
DEER!!!
I love that one. Toy Story is like my childhood. So cute.
As we made our way over, we noticed that there was this Celtic-jazz type band playing at the Grandstand in the Marketplace. They were really good! We stopped to listen for a few minutes.
See that guy? I swear he's smiling because he saw me take a picture and thought it was of him. You'd think he'd be creeped out by that?
I was feeling pretty thirsty, so we stopped at the Forty Thirst Street across from here:
And got some of this:
Mmmm. Ya'al know how I love sharing water pictures with ya! LOL.
We caught a bus back to POFQ and freshened up for a few minutes and I said hello to Stace, of course! Then we headed down to the bus stop once again and caught a bus back to Animal Kingdom about 5 minutes later!
I love that new sign! Adorable!
Where will we go? What will we do? Stay tuned to find out!
