If you get that reference, you have earned a ton of cool points, if you don't get it, I strip you of them all teehee

Love the pictures you took along the way! I spot my lovely Space Mountain Bay Lake Tower and the Grand Floridian are so pretty, would love to stay in either of those places any day. Same with the Poly! Could we possibly split the lovely waterfall? My bedroom is quite bland Those paintings would also add a nice touch, though I think I need to view more of the gallery

Chapter 7- And at Last I See the Light...​

July 25th, 2011​

So I'm actually really bored this evening, now that I FINALLY finished all my summer work for APUSH! So did Allie, and we are VERY proud of ourselves. Anyway, I thought I'd get another little update in for you guys!

When I got off the monorail and walked in the most beautiful resort on Disney property, I died. Just kidding, I actually heard a 'Hallelujah Chorus" (Full House anyone? ) singing and I fell in love with that place all over again. I mean LOOK at this place!!

I love these chandeliers. I want one.

Over the din of those angels, I heard one of my favorite Disney songs EVER. "I See the Light" from Tangled was being played for the immense pleasure of all those lucky people who get to stay in Heaven while at Disney. I had a conniption and called Jess to tell her. I think she was a little taken aback by my insanity. Then again, she's used to it by now.

He's my hero. Jess and I actually have a friend, John, who could totally take over for him when he dies. They're both AMAZING.

Here are a couple more pics of the lobby building where the cast of Full House, including Steve, who just so HAPPENS to play the voice of Aladdin love once roamed. Sorry they're a tad blurry, or something! I was still in the middle of my conniption, mind you.

This is my favorite store in all of Walt Disney World. Seriously. I love it SO much. Many magical memories of this store, and I've never even stayed at the G-Flo! I love the floor-to-ceiling windows and how it kinda feels like you're in a doll house when you're in there. It's so cute!

We continued to explore the lobby building, and I took this pic of the stairs.

This is my favorite staircase in all of Walt Disney World. Can you tell I'm obsessed with this place? It just reminds me of Cinderella's grand entrance at the ball and fairytales coming true. It even has a carriage on it!

We passed by these highly acclaimed restaurants:

Then we hopped back on the monorail and headed to the Contemporary, once again!

We explored this place for a little while:

Can you tell I enjoy resort gift shops? This one has a very interesting setup. I would expect nothing less from the Contemporary. LOL.

Then we walked around that B-V-G store, where I saw this:

I wanted it soo bad, but it was pretty expensive. I don't even have a Disney snow globe, which is so weird! They're all so cute. I need one!

Mike saw this guy and loved it!

He LOVES to golf. Soon enough he saw this guy and forgot all about the Big Cheese:

He loves Grumpy. He wanted this SO bad, and said he might get it later in the trip, but he never did. Lucky for him, he has an incredibly generous and loving sister with an excellent memory, aka ME, so I bought this for him on our trip in August! He loves it and it is now chillin' front and center on his dresser. So YAY.

After we were done exploring way more merchandise than Dave's anti-shopping eyes could take, we went to check in for one of the BEST character dining experiences of my life...which I'll tell you all about next time, but I'm sure by now you can all figure out where we went!

Haha I don't! I'm so sorry! What's it from?? Is it Harry Potter? 'Cause if it is I'm just gonna say Professor Trelawny and Honeydukes and see where that gets me. Bt yeah, the monorail is just a thing to be treasured. I adore it.​

We are NOT splitting the waterfall, I called it first. You can put that giant Star Tunnel sign in the Space Mountain queue on your wall, that'll spruce things up!

Any of those resorts would make me a very happy frump.

Haha we always start that Wednesday after labor day, but yeah you only beat Jess because she is spending quality time with her Nana tonight...at the Casino. ​

The Poly IS very photogenic. I would love to stay there! That, the Beach Club and the GF, OF COURSE, are the top 3 I really want to stay at someday.

Hehe yeah I was bored so I just updated twice. Thanks though I loved the Disney music, shopping and taking pics. I've become very good with iPhoto so I love to crop and straighten my pics to make them perfect. ​

I truly believe the one and only reason the Contemporary has been and always will be the greatest resort in the history of Walt Disney World, in my opinion is solely because of the monorail running straight through it. I mean c'mon, without this handy little feature, no other resort stands a chance in my eyes!

The Wyland Gallery is like an art store of super expensive artwork, jewelry and sculptures. And it's all so amazing. I love it.​

Oh, I love the Grand Floridian! At first I wasn't a fan of the decor in the rooms, but the resort as a whole is just gorgeous. And there are like... 6 or 5 different restaurants in there. You can just book a week of ADRs there it's amazing, though I'm not sure if I want to get all dressed up for Victoria & Albert's paying that much money, with a full trip ahead of you, but maybe once would be nice And I must agree, that staircase is gorgeous, definitely a lot like the foyer from Cinderella. And that's so cool the guy started playing "I See the Light" from Tangled, oh, I probably would've had a conniption too LOL I don't know how I manage to hold in my Disney-related spaz attacks... my self control must be off the charts And I think the Full House references you make are great, I need to watch more of that show.

Seems like it's such a re-occurring theme it's almost a given. There should be Dis meets that revolve entirely around acting out the best scenes. Can you imagine hoards of us shouting "STEVE" just at the right moment in Indiana Jones? Magical! Yes. The monorail definitely deserves respect and reverence. It's futuristic transport methods could backfire at any moment and kill us all.

HAHAHA OMG THERE SHOULD BE!!! You have some really great ideas! I would have loved to be on that show. I think I would like to play Becky (lucky girl) or Kimmy Gibbler. She has way too much fun. There do seem to be a lot of us DIS-ers that are fans though. Haha it's just great. OMG I would totally do that in that show. We just need to organize a DIS/Full House fan mega-trip! I would definitely be on board.

It really is though. I'd say tell that to Jess but we decided to just forget the whole thing and share the princes. Too bad they're all animated. Ah well.​
