Such a Big Miracle in Such a Little Girl! and Anniversary Celebration *Updated 3/19

My first post had pictures of my Disney childhood. These next few are pictures after I met my dh and before we were blessed with children.

This is the first time my dh and I went to Disneyland in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle. We looked so young :)

At Disney MGM. I loved this. I have always said that what DCA is missing is the Disney magic and although there were many similarities to these two parks, MGM (now Hollywood Studios) definitely dominated in that category.

Just having some fun

Just chatting it up with a Cast member about the animals.

These pictures are of our Disneyland trips after dd was born. I really liked disney theme parks before, but being able to experience it through my dd eyes was some thing completely different.

She was 9 mths old here and it was our first CHOC Walk in the Park event. We didn't stay for the park on this visit, but we got a lot of pictures during the walk.

We got to walk the tram route and had some picture opportunities. :cool1:

The whole group:grouphug:

My baby with Stitch.

She's 14 mths old here and this is her first trip. Her first ride was the carousel.

This post will have our second year of disney with my dd.

We celebrated her 2nd birthday at Disney's PCH Grill located in the Disney's Paradise Beach Hotel.

One morning we told her we were going to spend a couple of hours at DL that day and she came out of her room "ready to go to dl"! :cutie:

She finally got to meet her favorite princess

And last but certainly not least, I can not leave my handsome little boy out of this.

So although I do not have any pictures of him at disneyland, other than when I was preggo with him, I do have these two pictures associated with disney.

First one:

His nursery is Disney Cars, we are a Disney family after all :rotfl:

and this one:

He is 2 weeks old in this picture. He wore a Tigger sleeper/costume for Halloween.

Well, there you have it, our Disney memories in a few pictures.

Yesterday we had our weekly movie night. My dd pulled Peter Pan! Normally movie night is on Sundays, but with it being the Superbowl, we opted to postpone it a day.

We had Cpt Hook's Pirate Ship Pizzas, Tink's Garlic Pixie wands and for dessert Peter Pan's Pirate Swords- skewers of grapes, apples and strawberries. According to my dd, this was the best dessert yet! DS discovered he likes strawberries ;)

Last week was Ratatouille. We don't like ratatouille nor french cuisne, so I went with a play on Linguine's name. For dinner we had Linguine's Parmesan Chicken on a bed of Linguine, Gustave's Fresh Garlic Bread and Coleen's Green Salad. Then for dessert we had Remy's Family Favorite - cheese cake of course!

Here is a cute picture of my ds. He got a hold of my pass porter and I believe he's planning for Disney.:goodvibes

I'm sorry...got a little behind again (the DIS has been so slow, work crazy and son had surgery).

I LOVED all of your flashback pictures. What fun.

And I love your Peter Pan movie night.

We had another movie night last night. We watched Aladdin. I didnt get any pictures because movie night was a little rushed. My baby cousin had her 3rd birthday party and it ran late. I was unable to get my menu made up.

We had Ali Ababwa Kebabs (steak, potatoes, onions and bell peppers) and Stolen Rosemary Bread & Butter. For desert we had home made Monkey Bread!

My dd was able to take her Papa into coming to movie night and up until he fell asleep he was chuckling. My mom enjoyed herself also...she hadn't seen the movie since it was in theaters in 1992.

My dd had a blast if with short changing her the "little extras". She played with her Jasmine doll throughout the whole movie.

Next week: Alice in Wonderland. I need to now go get ready for a happy Un-birthday party :cheer2:

I did it...I changed an ADR.
I was pretty satisfied with all my ADR choices and I did felt that I had made all the right decisions. But with me spending so much time on these boards and reading reviews I guess it was bound to happen, I started second guessing myself. That is the problem with booking so far out. It started first with Sanaa. I was debating whether or not that would be an okay restaurant to take my young children too after spending a day at the parks. I had seen a special on Food Network and they had a quick review of the restaurant. It looked like it might be a little too fancy for us. I read up on some reviews about those who took there little ones to Sanaa and ultimately we decided to leave it as it.

So what did I change. My ds has grown attached to his stuffed Tigger. When I was reading to him yesterday, he pointed to Tigger every time his picture showed up. I looked in to Crystal Palace and after talking to my co-captain (my mom) we decided to cancel our ADR at LLT and reserve for Crystal Palace. I hope I didn't make a mistake. We were looking forward to the Thanksgiving Dinner, but ultimately this trip if for the kids and with him being so little, there's not much we are doing "just for him". :tigger:

Finally got caught up on the whole PTR! Your daughter's story really choked me up. What a little miracle!

I think your Tink gift ideas are great, and an underwater disposable camera for BB would probably be a huge hit!

I'm very impressed with your movie night themes and details! I think that's a great way to introduce everyone to all things Disney.

We're under 100 days now, too, and it's such a great feeling!

While LTT is great... I think your DS will get more out of CP! He will love the Pooh characters! And I think I watched that same special that showed Sanaa... and it looks wonderful!!

I always do CP for a character meal & I don't have any children. It's my favorite character place and second is Norway. I have some great Alice DISigns that I can change the wording on that you can use for placemats?? As usual, wording can be changed. :goodvibes

Thanks for posting your link for me. I came here and read all 7 pages. I am going to be down in May also, 2nd weekend, not sure of days yet, so maybe I will see you there. Have lots of fun.
:banana::hippie:

Whew..I had one very busy weekend. Not only did I work my regular job on both Friday and Saturday, I also had a 3 day yard sale and movie night!

Our trip is completely paid off. We did that a couple of weeks ago. I have been buying gift cards and earning gift cards through online surveys and have enough for the kids to spend $50 each a day if they are so inclined (though I will control it, it's nice to know that I wont HAVE to say no because we cant afford it :thumbsup2) And I have managed to save close to $700 in change for my own spending money and snacks. We are on the meal plan, so most of our meals are covered and for the two meals that are not covered, we have $300 in Disney Rewards money saved to use.

We tallied up how much we were going to need for extra monetary expenses: Tips for bus, mousekeeping and dinning; Checked bag fees; airport parking fees; meal at airport; gas; groceries etc. We figured we would be safe around $700 for everything. Before our yard sale we had $615 towards it. I also work on commission so we need to put aside $300 to pay for gas and bills for that week that I'm not getting paid. So in total for the rest of our trip we needed about $385.

That brings us to the yard sale. We were hoping to make up the difference with it. Between my mom and I we had a lot of things to sale. My ds just turned 1 so I had a lot of nursing, maternity, nursery, infant toys and items, and baby clothes. Plus a lot of random things that have accumulated in the 2 years since my last sale. My aunt donated some boxes and my grandfather passed a way 5 years ago and we finally got around to cleaning out his tool shed. Our sale was Fri, Sat and Sun and we made...

$754.15:cheer2::yay::cool1::banana:

This puts us over the top by $369!!

Sunday was movie night. We had a Happy Unbirthday Tea Party then watched Alice in Wonderland.

I made a cake:

I kept it simple...I was really tired after working 2 jobs all weekend.

Next week Mulan!! HMM:scratchin I wonder whats for dinner next week ;)

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: for the money at your garage sale. That is awesome. I gave up on garage sales when some strange woman asked if she could try on a dress in my house. :scared1:

The birthday cake looks lovely. Nice job. :thumbsup2

I think that would have scared me enough to give up too. My mom and I try to have one every 2 -3 years, but I think the most I have ever made was close to $350 which is all we were expecting. We doubled and more our expectations...It was so worth it and I got rid of all my old stuff. A gave a large trash bag full of adult men & womens clothes and small box of toiletries to a local homeless man to pass out to his friends. And I donated about 5 boxes of other knick knacks to Goodwill. My dh is so excited to get his garage back :)

Yay for the garage sale money!!! :cool1: that is awesome that you made well over what you were expecting! And your cake is too cute! Love the UnBirthday idea! Might have to borrow that one!

Well I just opened an entire can of worms. I recently discovered the Creative DISigns board and I want it all! :hyper: :rotfl2:

I'm making an autograph book, tip envelopes, countdown chain, tshirts, and coupons.

They have created a Monster
