Okay. Here's your assignment, should you choose to accept it: Name some actors, who are (or have been--they don't have to currently be making movies) very successful, and who, in your esteemable opinion can't actually act very well.

I'll start off with two (though I'm sure I'll be back later with more)--one male, one female:
Orlando Bloom
Scarlett Johansson

Leonardo DiCaprio
Matt Damon

I agree re: Scarlett Johansson, but have never seen Orlando Bloom in action.

Renée Zellweger. She was AWFUL in Cold Mountain.

Kevin Costner! I've never seen him speak in anything but a monotone! I've never seen why everyone used to be so impressed with him.

Keanu Reeves-I had a really hard time with the Matrix trilogy because I couldn't sustain a belief that Keanu Reeves would be the savior of the universe

I can't think of a female off the top of my head-I'll work on it...

MushyMushy, you took mine! I swear you could replace Kevin Costner with a cardboard cut-out and nobody would ever know the difference.

Ahhh... I like Matt Damon
If anything he's nice to look at

I thought they were both excellent in "The Departed."

I don't think that Ben Affleck can act, and I don't find anything about him appealing at all.

I don't agree with Leonardo DiCaprio. I think it depends on what he's doing.

My choice is Arnold Schwarzenegger (sp?) and I always liked him! I don't think that he's much of an actor though.

Oh, two more I like but they can't really act. Vin Diesel and The Rock. Actually I think that The Rock is the best out of these three and he's still quite young so maybe there's still hope for him.

A female? Ummm... I can't think of one right offhand.

I hate to admit how bad he is because I find him so HOT!!! Hayden Christensen is another one although I heard he was good in non-Star Wars movies.

Bad female actress? Hmmm! I don't know if she would be considered super successful, but Angie Harmon from Law & Order was just hideous if you ask me. Or maybe I just can't stand her or her husband - the wannabe it couple.

::yes:: He always gets my vote for THE worst. Also Julia Roberts and Diane Keaton.

I forgive Keanu for a lot. He's so nice to look at that I gladly accept his wooden acting and constant same expression. :rotfl:

Yep, watching Speed guarantees my a week of sweet dreams!

Matthew Broderick - I used to like him - still want to like him....but between the Music Man and this new holiday movie......blech!!!

I TOTALLY disagree with Leonardo DiCaprio...did anyone SEE What's Eating Gilbert Grape?? If that isn't acting, nothing is!

Oh, & Keanu Reeves...I never cared much for him, but he was SO charming in
Something's Gotta Give...when he is sitting on the couch in Diane Keaton's house and jumps up & over the couch to get to her.....WOW.

Actually, I was very impressed with his acting chops, first in Goodwill Hunting, even more so in the woefully underrated The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Oh, I loved Scarlett Johansson in The Girl with the Pearl Earring!
