Glad it's not hitting Florida directly. How bumpy do you think it might make the flights? We leave on Friday as well and I do get a bit queasy during turbulence. Guess I'll just have to prepare myself for some turbulence.

even the slightest 'weather' causes some 'bounciness'....a sub-tropical storm will certainly produce some turbulence....
in any case, whenever i cross the atlantic, there is usually some turbulence as we approach the continent....storms just make it worse....
"THE STORM IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 12 MPH. THIS
MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS WITH A GRADUAL
DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH...75 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. SLIGHT STRENGTHENING IS EXPECTED AS GABRIELLE ACQUIRES MORE
TROPICAL CHARACTERISTICS.
WINDS OF 40 MPH EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 105 MILES...165 KM TO THE NORTH
OF THE CENTER.
ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1011 MB...29.85 INCHES."
its not just the speed but the effect on barometric pressure that causes the bounciness.
