Not effecting Florida direct, but will make the flights to and from a little "bouncy"

probably more than just a little bouncy (of course 'bouncy' is a somewhat subjective measure :) )......

Oh no...head over on Friday AHHH!! Not good on flights either.... especially if it is going to get a touch bumpy:scared1: :scared1:

Cheers Obi...On the ball!!

How rude! We fly on Monday so i expect our flight to be somewhat "bouncy" LOL!

Glad it's not hitting Florida directly. How bumpy do you think it might make the flights? We leave on Friday as well and I do get a bit queasy during turbulence. Guess I'll just have to prepare myself for some turbulence.

I am sure they wiull try to reduce the efct, but you can see from the diagram its a wide area to try and go around.

You might get some great pictures though!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Surely if it's only a sub-tropical storm it shouldn't be too bouncy ?

We came home at the tail end of a hurricane once, and it was awful.
Was more than just a little "bouncy" !! :lmao:

even the slightest 'weather' causes some 'bounciness'....a sub-tropical storm will certainly produce some turbulence....
in any case, whenever i cross the atlantic, there is usually some turbulence as we approach the continent....storms just make it worse....

"THE STORM IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 12 MPH. THIS
MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS WITH A GRADUAL
DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH...75 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. SLIGHT STRENGTHENING IS EXPECTED AS GABRIELLE ACQUIRES MORE
TROPICAL CHARACTERISTICS.

WINDS OF 40 MPH EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 105 MILES...165 KM TO THE NORTH
OF THE CENTER.

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1011 MB...29.85 INCHES."

its not just the speed but the effect on barometric pressure that causes the bounciness. :goodvibes
