What things at Disney have you noticed that are in need of repair? Let's start a list. Here's a couple;

The clock in Germany. When the figurines come out they no longer chime the bell with their little hammers.

Splash mountain. Although I am sure this was unusual and probably will be fixed but when we road it the music was off? Talk about a strange ride without the music. Many of the animatronics were also not working. The music/singing was on at the end of the ride.

The last few times I rode splas mountain the fish were not jumping or even there. Me and my DD liked those fish.

and there is a tear in the fabric by the boat at the end of the ride:( I still had fun, but it would be nice to see it fixed:)

When we go to EPCOT my son runs to Germany to watch the trains.Last week only the red caboose was running he followed the track and found a train wreck under the bridge he was sad but he said "oh they will fix it".This was Sunday. We went back Tuesday ran to Germany and guess what only the little red caboose was on the track! :sad1:

I would have to agree with Splash Mountain. The last two times we were there the jumping waters part didn't jump and many of the animatronics didn't work. But I still love this ride!

oh yeah, thanks for reminding me of that one...the train at germany was derailed?

Splash Mountain is in the worst shape I think. That tear has been there for quite some time besides lots of other things mentioned not working. I also hate the gum that is all over that ride too. I think it is most need of refurbishment. The flumes could use a good scrubbing as well and the water is really really smelly.

It is one of my favorite rides though it just needs some TLC at the moment.

not that it really matters but last time i rode splash i noticed the two turtles on the left side where just "floating" without and water splashing up.... I just thought if this had been the first time i would be confused why the turtle was floating 2 feet above everything else

It amazes me that years ago that derailed train would have been fixed in an hour.....I just do not understand the lack of care that seems to be going on in the parks now. Maybe they are short staffed, but I would think they would want to keep them running at 100% efficiency..

Maybe dropping a line to Disney would help. I saw this and this on my last trip and they were not working the whole time I was there type of thing. It certainly will not enhance your trip but might make it better for the next child who wants to see the train running as it should be or Splash Mountain's animatronics working correctly..

I do think that Splash Mountain needs a refurbishment but with my luck it would be during my trip. It's such a popular ride that shutting it down for any length of time would surely make someone upset that they didn't get to go on it during their trip. Kind of like how Dinosaur at AK was closed during my whole trip last year. :(

I agee that Splash Mtn. needs the most work from what we saw. It needs to be shut down and really worked on...seems like it is disappointing people anyway ~ seeing it in such disrepair. I think that there aren't the 'slow' seasons like there used to be...times when they could really get some work done on these well loved rides!

Didn't ride Splash, but was amazed at how shoddy Peter Pan was (my first time on that ride). You could see the offstage area pretty clearly (I realize the clearance between the vehicles and the exit doors is cramped, so they don't have a lot of room to work with, but come on -- assign some Imagineers to it! Also, as you fly over the volcano, you can look down and see the tin foil all crumped up and torn inside it. Very amateurish, especially compared to Snow White, simple as Snow White is.

You know, in a weird sort of way, I like the cheesy quality of Peter Pan. I feel comforted when we fly over the aluminum foil and my DS always comments on it, he likes it too. But we're kind of nutty, so there ya go. :earboy2:

I noticed quite a few burned-out lightbulbs in SpectroMagic. That was a little disappointing to me (though I know my kids didn't notice and it didn't detract from their 'magic' at all!).

Also, our audio didn't work at all during one of our rides on Test Track. I told the CM as we exited and she said they'd take a look at it but they loaded the next group right onto the car as we walked away--I felt bad for those next riders; the cute narration during Test Track really adds a lot to the ride and they missed it. Hopefully the problem was fixed overnight.

My only other complaint was the dirtiness of the MK restrooms. I guess it was just that there was so much traffic (maybe unexpected and unplanned-for on Disney's part since it was mid-October) but I have NEVER seen WDW restrooms in this type of gross condition. Definitely detracted from the magic a bit for me. However we found the restrooms at the other parks were sparkling as usual.

I guess now that we go to WDW fairly often I am getting a little too picky, but these little things do make a difference!

The end of Aug. Splash Mountain didn't open until later in the day due to technical difficulties. I have heard that this is not an odd occurance. So I think it is time for refurbishment of Splash Mountain.

I'm still perturbed about 20,000 Leagues, I know it's been a while since it's been gone, but it is one of the few things I remember from my childhood, and would love to be able to share it with my son.

I thought I was being so neurotic when I noticed it! I'm so glad I found a home here at the DIS!

You know that it is all gone now, and a pooh play area, right? There is no hope now of sharing with your son. Sorry.

The only thing I noticed last October was after we got off Space Mountain there was what looked like a conveyor belt people mover thing that I think was supposed to carry you out of the "mountain" but it was not working so we had to walk the incline out of the ride. There may have been others but I was just too astounded by just being at WDW (my first trip).
