Substituting Soup for drink at BOG lunch on QS Plan

Hi,
I am trying to preorder our lunch at BOG. We have the Quick Service Dining Plan, and we are supposed to be able to substitute a snack item for a drink. I see that they have soup listed as a dessert option but not a beverage. Should I just order the soup, entree and dessert? Will the cast members figure out what I am doing or will I have to tell them? We will have already used our snack credits by that time and don't want to pay any extra $.

It isn't worth the trouble. We ate there 3 times for lunch the week after Thanksgiving. You cannot do preorder and have subs. If you do standby order line you make your request and they handwrite it on the receipt for the server to see and accomodate when they deliver your food when they are not looking for that sort of thing at all. Our first time we got substitutions with alot of effort. 2nd time server brought 2 free Danani bottled waters to apologize he could not do requests.
3rd time we asked at the register but quickly realized when the cast member paused that it was not worth the bother.

BOG will not let you sub soup for the beverage.

As others have posted BOG has not been allowing the exchange of soup for a drink. You would have to use a snack credit or pay for it. Part of it may be the big price difference or the fact that their drinks are self serve, so there is no way to monitor that.

Also, are you going this month or in 2017? Just in case 2017, desserts are not included in your QSDP credits anymore.

We are on the 2016 plan! Do you know if I can sub the drink for a dessert at Sunshine Seasons or Tangerine Cafe?

They allowed my DD and I to do that both this year IIRC. We shared the roast beef sandwich and each got a soup. Last year they didn't allow it, but did allow us to sub the soup for the dessert then.

The portions are quite large at lunch to me!

You can sub the soup for dessert at BOG. Soup is actually on the dessert menu.
You can not sub anything for a beverage at BOG
I don't know about the others a PP asked about

All I can say is that the QS dining plan PDF has a star by dessert and non-alcoholic beverage and the star means "may be substituted for any item that is an eligible snack at the location." Now while my head says that means ANY place should swap, the truth is the wording of "may" gives the location the flexibility to do what they want at any given time.

They let you sub soup for your desert- drinks can't be subbed for soups/desert.
