well we take wet wipes (as the ice cream dbf eats alwas gets every where)

also I tend to take way too many smellies, like 4 shampoos lol guess I will never smell

We take that anti-bacterial gel that you can wash your hands with without water & soap, its good to have in the parks :thumbsup2

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but this will be my first time to Disney and I just wondered are there foods stuffs you are not allowed to take. I want to take some raisins, fruit bars etc. for my 2 year old to have, so I don't have to worry about finding them in the shops over there as I know they are ones he eats, but did not think I was allowed to take food into the country without doing some special declaration. Do have my lines crossed???

Thanks

You have to fill a customs declaration before you arrive, however with what you are taking there should be no problems, as you can see many of us take food stuffs without any problem.

Be aware, we had dried apricots taken off us, so they are funny about fresh and dried fruit unless the import rules have changed....

We always find the best palce to get some is at Bath and Bodyworks in the US, they have a shop in the Florida Mall. Mind you could go mad in there they have some lovely stuff, always bring home the hand wash for the bathrooms :)

Claire ;)

Our essentials are a box of Yorkshire teabags, bottle of orange squash, jar coffee, jelly babies and a bottle of salad cream as my DH & DS won't eat mayo!

For our American friends we take Mushy peas, Cadburys chocolate, Shortbread, Boudoir fingers (for trifle :teeth: ) Choc gems, Pom bears!
Not sure if its us they are happy to see, or the goodies:rotfl:

Mushy Peas!!! brilliant - that tops my Bisto Gravy, though I reckon the Americans would love it as their gravy is horrid....you can buy Robinson's Orange Squash from Publix, but it is expensive.

mixed herbs!
we do a lot of self catering and usually get little packs of salt, pepper etc from Macdonalds for our cooking abroad, but I don't want to buy a whole jar of herbs (for our family fave- spag bol!) just for a couple of meals....the first time I did this I just wrapped a small amount in some clingfilm and twisted it round- luckily I realised that it looked like another kind of herb all together before travelling and transferred it into a mini tupperware tub instead!

Could somebody tell me what 'pom bears' are? Thanks.
We always take jelly babies!(wonder why??), decent decaf coffee, tea bags, shortbread biscuits, kettle(bought over there a few years ago). This year we are also taking Cadbury's mini eggs and mini bars!! :teeth: The 'Cadbury's chocolate over there is horrid. :(

I think they are Teddy Bear shaped potato snacks - I have seen them I think in Woolworth's.

We take Tea Bags. Persil washing tablets, bounce tumble dryer sheets and far too much shampoo etc. This year I have been travelling quite a bit for work so I have been collecting the little bottles of shampoo etc you get in the hotels and will take those refilled with my own shampoo/conditioner etc. Then I can just take 'enough' instead of too much and throw away the empty bottles leaving more space for souvenirs.

I'm gonna take my sunscreen to the waterparks in them too cos the big bottles take up so much space in the tiny lockers. I can refill them as needed.
