I am going for my first-ever meeting on Tuesday morning (YAY!).....just to get some ideas/answers....I am meeting with Joe DiMatei (sp)...anyone here have any info to share on him? Also, pardon my ignorance (I'm new to the board), but what is (what's the difference between) an EM and SM??? I've seen both used and I just want to get things straight!
Thanks!!!!!

I love Joe. He's mine as well. He's pretty patient as me and DH have changed our everything like 5 times!!!! He comes highly recommended from me!!

An SM is a sales manager. You meet with them first to get an idea of the scope of your event. After you have sent in the deposit and signed the contract, you will be assigned an EM (Event Manager). They are responsible (if a custom wedding) for your event the day of and the nitty gritty details up until the event. They are essentially a project manager.

Thanks! Makes me feel better since I have a feeling I'll be doing the same! And thanks for clearing up the SM and EM question...I figured that's what it was, but I wanted to be sure.....
Now that I know the difference, is Joe an SM or an EM?????:confused3

Joe is an SM...he is the one who will show you around and help you decide on a location, etc. and then he will write up the contract when the time comes. He is wonderful...he if very soft spoken, patient, and never says a negative thing about anything. You will love him.

Have a great time at your session! Everytime I walk into the Frank's Studio I am in awe and feel likea kid in a candy store! Have a great time.

I had the pleasure of talking to Joe Di Matei several times when I was first planning my wedding and considering a custom. He was by far the best sales manager out of the three I had. I was actually sad when I moved back to an intimate wedding and couldn't work with Joe anymore.

He's lived in Orlando for 15 years. I don't know how long he's worked for DFTW, but I learned more from him than anyone.

Good luck!
