Stupid Question

All righty, for this example I used the Ticker Factory. Create your ticker, and at the end it will give you a choice of codes. You want to copy the one titled bbCode for these forums. Then go to User CP, the link on the upper left side of your screen. In the User CP, on the mid-left side of your screen, it says Edit Signature--click on that. Paste your code in the box, and click preview to make sure your ticker is showing up correctly. If it is, click Save Signature, and you should be set.

I have seen the same ticker on other users posts.

If I remember correctly this is what I have done:

Went to the webpage that another user posted.
Selected the ticker I liked
Input the date of arrival.
Clicked on the button on the bottom-nothing happened so I selected all and then went to my Control Panel and then I pasted it.

I tried using TickerFactory and after I selected the image and clicked on next it just kept asking Bock and something else. I kept clicking next and I got nothing. I tried switching to the other option and I got the same result-nothing.

Now I am too tired to keep working on this. I can't even remember the webpage I got the one I am trying to get to work.

I see someone already directed you to a ticker website, but I just wanted to let you know that you can also use www.tickercentral.com to create tickers.

All righty, using ido.com.sg, I created a ticker. The code generated at the bottom of the page. You need to copy everything in the box titled PseudoHTML, UBBCode, or BBCode. Then edit your signature and paste--the code should show up. Click save, and the ticker should show.

I'll test it right now to be sure.

Edited to add: I'm getting the same result you had--I'm guessing that this is how the website works, and it's not a glitch. I think that you should get some rest, and go at it with a fresh mind tomorrow--with one of the other ticker websites.

Well I have tried a few different websites and no luck so far.

BTW, my husband is from Livingston, so we're very familiar with the Bozeman area! It's truly gorgeous country over there. Have you lived there most of your life?

momofcutetwins- It wasn't a stupid question, I also was looking to add a ticker counter. Thanks for asking a helpful question, I also wasn't sure where to find the answer.

the correct board is the "welcome to the dis" board. you should think before you post.

Ticker Factory should give you 3 deals to copy and paste. Just copy and paste the first one, hit preview if it shows up then it's the correct url. If not then backspace it out and copy and paste the next one until it works. Usually the first one works for me.
