can you please tell me about it. I am thinking my boys would love it. Do I need to pay to go hang out and wait on them. From what I understand it is a huge arcade (interactive). Any details would be great.

It is a really neat place, especially for the 10-20 year old boy crowd. Lots of interactive games, arcade games and loud music! I guess it would depend on your kids' ages whether you want to pay to hang out(you have to pay to get in) There is a nice lounge area you can wait in. My son is 14 and this year I may just shop in DTD while he is in there and keep in touch with cell phones.

I loved DQ as a teenager (was an avid video gamer) but I haven't been back inside in a few trips. Definitely a lot of fun for the boys assuming they still have the unlimited play on the games.

My kids (DS10 and DD7) LOVE it and my DH too I must admit!! It isn't hard to spend 10 hours there, we did last week. The nice thing is it's air conditioned so if you need a break from the sun and the crowds it's a nice break. We've only been a handful of times and even if it's crowded there are 5 floors so everyone spreads out. People actually seem pretty good about not hogging the games too- which is nice.

There is no such thing as a stupid question! ;)

Here is the link about Disney Quest.

I am not sure if you know this or not, but there is a whole lot more to this website than just the disboards forum, www.wdwinfo.com

We have been twice now with the kids 7DD & 9DS and this past year at 8 & 10. DH & I enjoyed it just as much as they did and we were also there most of the day both times. There are so many things to do. I liked being able to play all of the old arcade games that were in stores and restaurants when I was growing up...and you don't have to keep putting quarters in. :) DS likes the interactive pinball game the best and we all liked the Pirates game.

It is a lot of fun - there are 5 (? I think) floors of different video/arcade games and activities. Think of the stuff you might expect to see at Chuck E Cheese or D&B, but no tickets or anything. There are also a number of bigger attractions such as a big Pirates game, an interactive Pinball game, etc. I don't think I'd limit the target audience to teenage boys - hubby and I love it, we are in our 20s =)

You should note that there are no violent games or anything meant for older audiences. This is probably a good thing for many families, but if you have an older teen into that sort of thing, it might come across as rather boring.

There is one section of the floor filled with different rhythm/music games. We also like the big pirate game.

F U N! :thumbsup2

Floors of interactive play.................

One tip; when you go through the turnstile, you DO NOT have to get on the elevator, although it seems that way. Turn to the right and go around the corner to the left and you are inside DQ. It is easier than waiting on everyone to get on the elevator, go up and then get out of the elevator.

After going to WDW many times since DD was almost 3, we finally took her last year and she can't wait to go back! :goodvibes Prior to that I had been about 10 years ago and thought it was just okay.

The best part, for many, is that you can do all the arcade type games without paying anything additional. My family likes to ride the arcade motorcycles. We were able to ride several times in a row without getting off as there wasn't a line waiting. :goodvibes

The river raft ride is kind of fun, but hard! We like the pirate ride. :) We did the animation drawing (similar to one at DCA in CA) but unlike the one we do here all the time, we didn't get to keep our digital drawing without paying extra. :confused3There are several other things you can do (a recording, build a toy, etc.) that require pruchasing to keep. But you can do them on the computer screen without paying for it.

We went on a rainy mid-week day. Got there just before opening (11 ?). Wasn't too busy. Took a lunch break (at Wolfgang Puck Express-very close by and delish!) walked around DTD for awhile and then my DM took our car back to POP and DD9 and I went back to DQ. Still wasn't very busy. After we left we did something for the first time-we rode a bus to our resort! :rotfl2: We would have stayed longer but we had plans to meet up with my DM's 80+ y/o uncle and aunt for dinner.

We will be going back this year-we have a lot of plusses left on our 10 PH, no exp, with plusses tickets. It's a good way to spend a rainy day, or a good place to go after the parks close (esp. off-season when the parks close earlier) And the closeness of WPE is another benefit.

Go, your kids will love it (and maybe even you!)

My boys - both 10 - loved it immensely! I even got into the fun with some of the older pinball machines. lol

It is worth the money to give it a try - especially on yucky days.

Just be prepared to spend some time in there - an hour goes wayyy too fast!

Like a pp said you have to pay to "hang out." I think it is worth the visit and I think you could have almost as much fun as your boys.

We are looking forward to visiting DQ again. We did not visit when ds(10) was really small (I wish we had!), but we did visit twice during our 2007 summer trip when he was 8. DS loved it! We went on our first night and again one evening later in the trip. Only 2-3hours at a time.

I decided that next time we got a chance we'd spend more than a few hours at a time at Disney Quest. Well, back in December our trip just didn't allow time for much of anything besides park touring and a sea racer rental.

For our upcoming August trip I have alloted one day from opening (11:30am) to about 4-5pm. We have dinner ressies at 6:30 at Ft Wilderness that evening, so I hope about 5 hours will be enough. We are staying at POFQ and I think that would allow us to squeeze in a few more hours here and there if DS wants.

we paid the $80 for my step sons to go (14 and 16) and they enjoyed it but got ready to take off with in 5 hours. I didn't think it was worth the cost.

I took two 13 year old girls during a very hot May day and we had a BLAST! We spent about four hours (which was all the time we had---we would have stayed longer), and really enjoyed ourselves. Creating your own rollercoaster is so cool! Also, like other posters, I really enjoyed the classic arcade games. I played game after game of Ms. Pacman and Frogger. The floor was empty! It was my 1980's dream come true!

I forgot to mention CyberSpace Mountain (build your own coaster). I did that one in 1998 with my DNephew8 and it is great:rotfl:. Last year I did it again but unfortunately DD9 wasn't tall enough :confused3 I think she'll be tall enough this year (51") and if she is we'll have to do it several times. She is my "coaster girl" She loves coasters and was really bummed last year when she couldn't do this (or ride Rock 'n Rollercoaster-it was closed). This year she should be able to do both!;)

I don't think I would pay the $43+ to go but I have no problem using up one of my pluses to do it. It only costs $50 to add the pluses to your MYW ticket and since we always but the non-expiring option (10 day), for us it's a no brainer. Basically, it only costs us $5 to do either DQ, TL, or BB ( I know, I know, it's really more since I had to pay the non-expiring upgrade but to me it's still only $5/visit-love Disney Math!)

We always buy 10 day MYW, PH, with pluses, no exp. It's usually enough tickets to last us 3 trips (with even pluses left over)
