Most of the Disney restaurants are extremely popular, especially those with characters, so the chances of turning up at the door and getting a table are pretty slim.
You can use the ADR system 6 months in advance and it increases your chances of getting a table at the restaurants you want to eat at.

Oh boy, did I goof, all this time I thought ADR stood for Aadvarks Don't Run!!!
