Stupid Question about TS Credits

I currently have 13 dinners planned, two of which are CRT and HDD so those will 'cost' me 2 TS credits.

I am guessing the best way to do this is to pay OOP for 2 of my other TS meals and then use the 2 TS credits for each of those two meals.

Is that my only option?

Also, can you use QS or CS credits 'toward' a TS credit? Like use 2 CS for 1 TS? Or are they just completely separate? Hope that makes sense.

You cannot use QS credits at TS restaurants.

How many credits do you have to use? If you have more TS meals than you have TS credits, then you are going to have to either cancel some or pay for some. No way around it.

I have 13 credits and 13 meals. I want to keep them all. I guess I will have to pay OOP for 2 meals to get me the double credits I need for the 2 TS meals.

You need 2 credits extra, so you could just pay OOP for one of the 2 credit meals.

At TS restaurants you can also do a combination of dining credits and OOP. If someone in the group isn't too hungry and only wants something small (e.g. just an app), but others want the full meal, you can save a credit and pay OOP for the "something small" and use credits for those with heartier appetites.

Another way to stretch credits is to share at TS restaurants where you order from a menu. The only TS that has strict rules and will not let you share a credit is Via Napoli where you cannot use 1 credit to feed 2 people. Also only the individual sized pizza can be ordered with credits.

You cannot share and everyone will be charged a credit at buffets, family style all you care to eat venues, fixed price meals (CRT, Akershus), dinner shows (Hoop De Doo, Spirit of Aloha luau, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue), Fantasmic and kCandlelight Dining Packages and the family platter at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

THIS! Some of the servings are HUGE! We usually have at least 2/3 meals where we are sharing, (where allowed of course.) ;)

Excellent tips!!!! We will be paying OOP when someone says, "Mom, I'm not that hungry" and then we will save up :)

I'm in a similar boat - dining plan with 1 QS and 1 TS per day
I'll be booking one or two 2 credit meals - five nights

so will probably use QS to replace some evening meals
and just pay for 'light lunches' during the day something like...

Arrival night - 1QS
2nd day 1 QS 1 TS
3rd day 1QS 2TS
4th day 1 QS 2TS
5th day 1QS dinner off site? (or 1TS if only one 2TS credit is used)

seems QS meals are pretty substantial
2 proper meals a day is more than im used to

The other thing to consider is upgrading to a deluxe plan. It might be a cost savings rather than paying OP.

Deluxe plan (3 dining credits per night) is only a cost savings if you use a majority of those credits for TS meals.

Depends what other places you have booked. Usually worth it to just pay for one of the 2TS places unless you are eating at a signature place which you aren't.

We normally have a couple of signature dining meals on each trip. What we do is have a QS on days we have been out at other theme parks. The days we went to Discovery Cove and Legoland we had quick service meals in the evening. This worked really well giving us flexibility on those days with timing. We had plenty to eat at DC and went to a pizza buffet at Legoland.
