Stupid question about burning pictures on cd

As I have stated in other posts, I am still quite new to the digital camera. So far all I have done is download pics to my computer. We don't have a cd burner, so I have not been able to do that.

When I'm in the park, if I should decide to burn my pics to a cd if my card gets full, when I get home, how do I view my pics? When you put in the cd, do you choose what program you want to look at them with or what? How do you do this?

Sorry, I said it was a stupid question. But thanks for any advice.

It's very easy to do,just click the program you want to use from your computer. It could be Windows picture viewer or another program that you might have.I think I read somewhere that the pictures on CD our with Kodak and most of the time when we have ours put to CD it also comes with the the software to view them on your computer like a slide show.Im not sure if this is the same when having it done at Disney I hope so.

I believe all you will need to do is pop the CD in the drive. Depending on the type of PC you have and drive definitions you simply access the drive and view the Jpg files for pictures or Mpg files for movies. I have Microsoft XP and use the "Explore" option under the Start icon (lower left for MS). Click on the drive and then the files. So to answer your question, it's rather easy once you get familiar and comfortable with the navigation. Good luck.

Thanks for the quick response. Are you then able to crop them and "fix" them before you get any prints made?

Yes you can crop and fix them but beware of too much cropping/zooming. The more cropping, the less pixels. The less pixels, the smaller the image can be printed without blurring. If you want large prints, always make sure your camera is capturing images at its highest resolution and thus more pixels to start with.

Can I add a question on to your original one? Anyone know how much it costs to burn a cd at the parks and how long does it take? Thanks!
