my family and i are each chipping in 25 bucks for a photopass when we go down in october, but i've heard so many people say that they had so many different bumber of pictures on the cd.... i know it varies with how many pictures you have taken, but what is the absolute max # of pictures you can get on one cd.... ??? i've heard 200, i've heard 300, i even heard one person had like 370.... can you get more, or what should i expect.

We will be split up for the majority of the vacation, so we will have a few different cards to put on it. Another question that i have is, say we have more than 300 pictures taken. Can we take off the pictures we dont want on the cd, so we dont have to purchase more than 1???

any help would be appreciated!

THanks,
Crissa

I just checked the website and it states up to 300 pictures.

We just bought our Photopass CD last week & we made about 170 pictures. We talked w/ a few different Photopass people taking pictures & @ the Photopass Centers. There have been occasions when up to about 500 have made it on to a CD -- don't expect that, but 300 is totally doable.

Be sure to mention to each & every photographer that you are buying the CD & want to get the most photos you can -- they will likely shoot extra for you.

We were also advised to head to the nook @ the right SIDE of the castle -- near Tomorrowland bridge, to get night shots taken. If you are patient, things work right, etc., you may be able to get some shots w/ the castle in 2 colors. We didn't manage that, but our shots are beautiful. :thumbsup2

thanks for both of your replies!

It's good to know that we can get lot's of pictures on them! Especially since we will be split up and i dont want to have to hold off on picture taking!

Thanks for the tip about the castle! That sounds really awesome!

anyother tips out there?

This is our FAVORITE photo spot! Be sure to find it and scope it out!

so the $100 gets you the cd with the pics?

It says you can order pics online from photopass..how much are prints(like if you didn't pay for the cd, but wanted some prints from pics they took)..I didn't see any pricing info?

As I remeber from last year they were anywhere from 12.95 to 15.95 each for a 5x7, there were some discounts available on line :thumbsup2 So the 100.00 looks good it you have more than a few

Just Curious... Does anyone know if you purchase the CD, are you able to have pictures printed from the CD at your local photo developer, or from your own computer... or does it only work for slide shows and/or viewing pictures from the disk??? :hourglass (Less then 4 weeks and counting)

As i underdstand they give you a copy right paper, then you take cd to photo sop, and choose which ones you want to print!

Sure someone will be laong in a momnet, that knows for sure.

I hope this is right cos carrying it back to the UK, is soooo much easier in a CD format.

Hi

maybe im just stupid, but how do the photos get onto the card/cd? do u have to find a phogorapher every time you want a photo to be taken? can u put ride photos onto these cards? How does it work? cant find the actual process anywhere :p

Thanks

First time to Disney without parents this December - HA now i can eat all the smoked giant turkey legs i want popcorn::

from what i understand, there are photographers all around the park, and you just walk up to them and they will take your picture. The 1st time you get your picture taken, they will had you a card a and then they scan it in thier camera. Make sure to hand the photographer your pass each time you get your photo taken!

So far, ride photos are NOT included in photo pass. But i have heard rumors that they are trying to put them in.

And the reason that the cd is so expensive is because you do get the rights to the photos and you can print them at home, or at your local photo developer.

Hope this all helps!

yep it really does, thanks a bunch. LOL, sounds as if there are going to be a lot of 'want ur photo taken?' moments... lol why did i buy that cybershot! curses!

lol i have a cybershot too, and we bought it because we are going to kick ourselves if there is a 'kodak' moment, and no photographers around!!!!

I was not aware you could put multiple photopass accounts on a CD. I thought it was one account per CD. Please will someone clarify this.

OK, here is what I know about the CD. We went last March and I purchased one. You can put mutiple photopass cards on one CD, and they give you the copy rights to the pictures and you can take it to your local developer and have them made. I think it is well worth the $100. Because I got to be in the pictures with my son. One other time I actually purchased them from online and spent almost twice that for about 20 5X7's. I figure I have already spent a bundle on the vacation why worry about the cost of the CD, because the memeories are priceless.

I had 416 pics on my cd and yes I took it to Walmart and had prints made. I personally was never asked to show copyright release but was prepared to do it.

I got the CD when I went in May and I will be getting one again this September. Of course, I also took over 500 pictures with my own camera, but I'm a photo junkie!! I got about 100 pictures on my CD last time and my goal is to at least double that this visit! You can't get ride photos, but all the characters have a photopass photographer with them and all the major photo spots have photographers poised at different angles to take pictures -- try them all!

The only thing you CAN'T get on your cd is the character's autographs or the special park logos on your pictures. If you want prints with those, you still have to buy them individually. They used to put these on the CD as well, but they stopped the week I was there in May. I think Photopass is one of the best things Disney has ever come up with!

Oh yeah, I ended up with two cards while I was there and they had no problem combining them on to one cd for me.

WE have never used the photopass system before but after reading all the good reports of it we will try it. My DH always seems to be out of our vacation pictures because he is always the one taking the pictures This way we will get some shots of all of our family.
Sams Club only charges .38 for a 5x7 and 1.46 for a 8x10 so even with the $100 cost of the CD we would still be way ahead over disney printing prices..why the heck do they have to charge so much...

It's a great deal, and cuts down SO MUCH on the pressure with kids or others who are into meeting characters. So much time with characters is wasted looking through a lens, trying to get a picture taken, making sure you get a good one...and then it's over.

With photopass and the CD, you can just meet the characters and forget about it, letting a professional photographer take care of it for you. You can even get in the picture without having to ask someone to use your camera.

We're already budgeting it in for our family trip next year. I've never paid the $12-15 bucks to buy a single one, but a flat $99 and the ability to go to Wal-Mart or whereever and print out as many as I want it worth it. This is especially true since they have added the photogs everywhere at WDW - it's like they exploded, LOL.

We still carry our own digital camera for when they aren't around, but they are at practically every character meet now, and in many of the best spots for those "postcard" style photographs in front of iconic locations. The best part is now that they give them on CD, you can use them in MyPublisher.com books! It's frickin' awesome.
