Call me stupid because I have no idea about absoloute values or whatever the freak you guys are on about xD
Oh and for the record I'm sitting my maths exam a year early, so no thank you I am not dull.
But yes I totally get what you mean. There's this one girl who's in nearly all my classes and every time the teacher finishes talking she asks him a question which she wouldn't have needed to if she'd listened and then after he answers her she asks the same thing again. Argh it's so frustrating, I want to move on!

yeah the worst thing is we had to take a quiz today and everyone was just wasting time asking all these questions before the quiz that they would have known had they actually been listening before...and they were wasting MY time to take a quiz.

I'm not very good at math. I did all my homework in high school and I did decent enough in it but I really had to put forth an effort. Sometimes I had to ask my friends for help because I just learned it better when they taught it...I'd get nervous if the teacher explained it directly to me and I couldn't really focus. It was much easier having someone my age explain it to me.

i'm not saying it's bad when people ask me for help of whatever, it's just that they ask the same stupid, common sense questions over and over again. and if they just thought about it even for a second they could easily come up with the answer on their own...thats all i'm saying

Yeah, it does get annoying when no one except yourself knows the answer. I bet I would be more annoyed with myself if I didn't know though lol.
The thing that annoys me most is that people dont seem to try... I say try now to graduate instead of having to take it over again! I mean, that's just common sense to me.

I don't get annoyed by that as much as I do when they don't make an effort.
Our teacher assigns chem homework everyday and everytime we come back to class they say "I forgot about it.", "I was busy.", "I got hurt so I didn't think about homework."
Complete lies and I have to sit there bored for the whole class while they get to finish it because our teacher won't enforce anything.
We have a huge project due next Thursday. (Board with procedure, pictures, etc.)He assigned it 2 weeks after school started. I'm the only one that has it done. Almost every single person hasn't even done their experiment.

I also hate it when they ask questions just to be annoying, but they actually know the answer and don't want to do the work so they keep the teacher busy.
Or people who talk during movies because they think everybody else doesn't want to watch it like them. (Even educational movies can be good sometime.)

During Maths in yr 10, the teacher would spend half an hour explaining how to do the work because the same people didn't know how to do it, and I ended up getting bored and start the questions I thought we would be doing. By the time she actually gives us the work, i've done most of the questions already, including the homework. Once, the teacher told me off for doing the homework in the lesson, before she gave it to us.

I'm very bad at Physics, but for some reason, the guys who are better at it then me, sometimes ask me what we're doing, and how to do it...

You're all lucky you get Algebra. I get most of it, but that's the stuff that I figured out on my own. My teacher Doesn't Teach. At all. Just expects us to know everything. And since I went from 6th grade math to 9th grade math, it's not helpful at all. D:

I hated my 8th grade Math teacher. She would show us the book problem examples. And then she'd give us 30-40 problems per night. Then she wouldn't even check it herself! We could be doing it wrong and she wouldn't notice because she didn't see if we did it correctly or not. She just checked to make sure we did the homework. (This was Pre-Algebra btw)

Oh, and on Halloween night she gave us over 100 problems.

I know. A lot of kids hated her.

My 5th grade teacher gave us homework on every break.
"Read a book and write a two-paged essay on it."
She even made us do one on Thanksgiving break.
