How long do these last in the freezer? Party isn't until the 21st but our grocery is running a 25% off of Friendly's ice cream cakes this week that ends this coming Wednesday. So, I'm assuming I could pick one up on Wednesday and it should last a week & a half in the freezer? Do they have an expiration date on them?

And what about coupons? Have you ever seen them for the ice cream cakes?

Your cake should be fine. The Dairy Queen in my neighborhood has half price cakes the first Tuesday of every month. We often by one if there is a special occasion coming up and serve it later in the month. Then if there are leftovers we eat it for the next few months.....always delicious to the last mouthful! :thumbsup2

Should be fine. Just keep it in the original packaging to avoid unnecessary freezer burn.

As noted, a lot depends on storage conditions, but 1-1/2 weeks is nothing unless there's an issue with the freezer.

If it's intact and uncut, I would expect that it would last longer than if cut then stored. I've had issues with ice cream that's been scooped out frosting over with ice crystals, but that's a matter of air (which has moisture) being in there as well as the moisture in the ice cream being exposed to cold air. I can store an unopened tub of ice cream for months, and it will be fine.
