Ok....so I remember seeing a picture of this amazing sandwich once. It was either a chicken salad or tuna salad sandwhich.....anyone have any idea what I am talking about. I seem to remember it being very popular.

I know it's a dumb question.

Love me a chicken/tuna salad sandwich, but most of what they serve in Disneyland/DCA is a grilled chicken breast...whole, not all torn up and smothered in some delicious sauce.

The only one I can think of near the Disneyland property is at Le Brea Bakery in Downtown Disney....it's shredded chicken, cabbage, olives, spices (loads of yummy garlic) and the sauce is kinda mustardy, served on to die for bread.

Le Brea Express has a tuna sandwich...but it's rather plain and boring in my opinion. It's got onion and mayo and not nearly enough spices and I don't recall the bread being anything special.

Hopefully someone else will post with something that I've missed all these trips!

Are you sure the sandwich is at Disneyland? Columbia Harbour House at the Magic Kingdom has a sandwich called Anchors Aweigh that is tuna salad on whole grain bread.

It's very good and very popular. There seem to always be pictures of it on the WDW food porn thread.

I love both but will eat neither while traveling. Huge salmonella source.

Curious...how is it less risky to eat chicken/tuna at home than it is while travelling to California? If you're going to get sick, may well be at the deli you visit every week for lunch just as much as the one-time-visit deli in another state.

I know I've seen a picture of the box lunch someone got on the A Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour and they do offer both Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad on the lunch menu but not sure they offer it anywhere else.

Here is the picture I was thinking of.

Like Jack mentioned I wouldn't eat mayo based salads on vacation where I can't control the freshness of the mayo. Don't want to get sick. Just my two cents. :)

My husband is very fond of the chicken salad sandwich at White Water Snacks in the Grand Californian.

not a sandwich.... but isn't there a chicken salad in a bread bowl at pacific wharf cafe in DCA?

Further evidence for what I have always contended...the chicken is the stupidest animal on the planet.

That's it!!! Thanks. It's been driving me crazy!

Here's the description from allears.net :)
