Just got home from the store and I bought corned beef brisket by mistake, instead of just plain old brisket. Can I throw it on the barbie then add sauce in the slow cooker as I normally would, or will this be gross?
I would do those steps the other way around. Corned Beef on the barbeque is a family favorite for us. We absolutely love it.
What we do is to boil it with the seasonings for an hour prior to throwing it on the grill - then you grill until you get some char on the outside and then you're done. It gives it a fabulous taste and is a huge hit whenever we have people over for dinner.
But you need to grill as a last step, not first. You need to get that meat tender prior to throwing it on the grill.
