Stuff not on Room Service Menu

speaking of tips, the last time we used room service, the servers were so busy that they left the tray and ran out the door before we could even give them a tip. this happened at least three different times on the cruise. I think especially at night, they get alot of milk and cookies type orders so they have to hurry to get them all done. I guess the suggestion is to have the tip ready when you order so you can give it to them before they bolt out the door.

That cheese platter looks amazing. And thanks to the poster for the link to the Dream RS menu - there are a few things (hot wings, mickey bars, cheese...) that I'm sure we'll order!

With the cheese platter, I see that there is quite a large wedge of bleu cheese and a small slice of brie. Would a request to switch those two (love brie but I don't care for bleu - outside of hot wing dip, anyway ;)) be a huge inconvenience/not possible to fulfill or would it be no problem? I don't want to be someone from "that" cabin! :rolleyes1

The snacks and popcorn, sodas, water and beer packages on the room service menu all cost extra. They are all together on the menu.

:thumbsup2 Lovin' this thread! So, for right now, I have learned you can order these that are NOT on the menu:

PB&J's
Grilled Cheese
Mickey Bars
Anything else?

And love all these tips! Going on our first in Oct., so want to be ready! :woohoo:

Any recent cruisers know if you can get the Mickey rice krispie treats from room service? TIA!:goodvibes

DD8 wants to know if the buffalo wings are mild or spicy. TIA! :goodvibes

It's been a while since I had them on the Magic, but I think they were more BBQ like than true Buffalo wings. They were very tasty, but not spicy/hot.

I'm looking forward to refreshing my memory in about 10 weeks!

I've read a LOT of threads over the years (only started posting 2 years ago), but this is the BEST THREAD EVER! Sooo informative and so fun! Thanks to everyone who contributed. This information is going to make my next cruise the best ever. You guys ROCK!

Odd question.... Do you have to be in your room to have room service delivered? :confused3

I was thinking maybe we'd schedule a cheese platter to be delivered but then go for a walk. I'd leave the tip with a note in an obvious place...

Yes - someone needs to be there. The room service CMs do not have room keys.

As was said by a previous poster, they are not really buffalo wings. It's more of a honey barbecue sauce. No blue cheese dressing or celery on the side either.

Okay, now I'm confused!! :confused3

This May & June we had room service buffalo wings (mild) and some dressing on the side....yes, even a tiny piece of celery! I'm not a sweet wings fan, so this will be a bummer if it's a new thing. Maybe they rotate...?

Which ship were you on? We were on the Wonder in Alaska, so it might be different for different ships/cruises, or more likely it's like the cheese plate and you get whatever is in stock or not.

We just got off the Wonder to Alaska (Aug 2-9) and you can NO longer get PB&J - they just don't carry the Uncrustables onboard anymore.

However, I was able to get warm milk sent up in a thermos at 6am (my DS's early morning necessity)

I was on the Magic - ebta & 1st Med cruises.... very indulgent late night snack after imbibing a wee bit too much....:cool1:

Yes, maybe a "seasonal" thing...lol Hoping they are still the bufalo wing type, even though not spicey!! I'll post an update after the wbta next week. :thumbsup2

Hello All, We are going on our first DC in March 2012. Are the drinks included on board (I am referring to sodas, tea etc.)? Or are they included for free only on deck 9? Thank you in advance....

Just wondering if there is another thread like this one..and do they still have PB&J's available-few months back someone said no....
