One of my friends works for RTI and sent this out about a study. If you know anyone interested feel free to forward to them:
We are looking for English speaking families with 4 year old children for the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study (sponsored by the US Department of Education). We need families to call in ASAP for this study from these locations around the US:
Wake, Durham, Orange, and Robeson Counties, North Carolina
Myrtle Beach, Greenville, and Columbia, South Carolina
Fredricksburg and Reston, Virginia
Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
St. Paul, Minnesota
Austin, El Paso, and San Antonio, Texas
Denver, Colorado
San Diego, Woodland, Placer, and Fresno, California
If you know anyone with a child born in the year 2000 in these areas, please pass along this toll free phone number for them to call if they are interested in participating: 877-212-7216.
Families will be contacted by a field interviewer for a one hour home visit with the child that involves activities like the FI talking with the child, looking at pictures and words, and drawing or writing with a pencil. Each family will receive $30 for participating.
