Studios

I think you're going to get a variety of answers. We stayed in a BWV studio with two adults and three 5 year olds. There was plenty of storage room for our luggage and clothes, the space itself was tight but manageable, and we utilized the balcony when we needed to spread out.

The single bathroom is probably the biggest drawback but we made it work as a family of quick showerers with minimal beauty routine (hair in pony tail, no make up).

I would choose a studio with a monorail or crescent lake location over having more space at a less convenient resort.

BLT has some of the smallest studios. I might go with VGF or Poly as those Re larger,

It is certainly doaable as I stayed with my 3 teens in one years ago,

Not for BLT, but okay for OKW. BLT is way too small for four people, especially if it is one male and three females. After the trip he will leave and join a monastery.

Poly studios are large and have the two shower areas which would be helpful with two preteen girls. Plus it has that third sleeping surface. I think Poly would be large enough.
We spent nearly two weeks in a Poly studio last year with me (a portly male), my wife, and our two daughters (4 and 7). We had plenty of space. It's still a studio and not a house, but it's easily the most comfortable we've ever been.

We've also stayed in studios at AKL-JH, BRV, and BLT in addition to most other standard rooms on property. The BLT studio was the closest thing to a value room that we've experienced among the DVC studios. Both AKL and BRV had enough space, but two nights at BLT was at least one night too many for me whereas I could live at the Poly.
