Sorry you had such a bad flight! I hate those!! The worst, was a few years ago when we were going from JFK to maine after being delayed 4 hours the pilot really stepped on that gas peddle to take off we were off 10 feet. BOOM! He slammed those breaks hard. That nearly gave me a heart attack.
Glad to hear you get the room you wanted at Pop.
Can't wait to hear about some Epcot fun.

The first bus to pull up out front was MK, so we hopped on that. Once we got there, hopped on monorail to TTC and then switched to Epcot track

As soon as we got thru bag check, we went right to the SE (Big Ball). Steve rode with Trent and I rode by myself.

Trent had so much answering questions himself.

Here is a pic after we got off the ride

After our ride on the Ball, we hit club cool. We only stayed in there a few minutes and then on to the Countries.

First and only stop was Mexico. We had to take a ride on the Gran Fiesta. Who does not love that ride?

Steve had only had about 3 hrs of sleep the night before and myself about 4, so we were running on zero energy.

We decided to call it a night and head back to hotel

Before we did that we stopped at Mousegear and let Trent pick out something.

He picked out a C3 PO Mr Potato Head

Once we had our purchase in hand, off to buses and back to Pop.

We stopped at food court first and used our first counter service meals.

I had a cheeseburger and fries, Steve had fish of day, with vegetables and rice and Trent had grilled cheese and fries

Once we got back to the room, our luggage was there.

Steve kindly agreed to unpack, so I could take Trent swimming, as were not sure if it was going to warm enough the rest of the week.

Trent had so much fun in the pool. They said it was heated, but it felt more like cold bathwater to me

After about a half hr, we had enough so we headed back to room to get our PJS on.

Trent decided he wanted to take some pics of the room.

Sounds like you guys had a great first night! Good call about making it an early night. You don't want to wear your selves out prematurely.

Trent falling out of a plane! He is too funny!

The B word! My best friend said that on a business trip right to the face of a security guard once! She didn't know you could not take aerosol hairspray on a plane and they found it in her carry on. The guard was chastising her for it and she said, "Geez, it's not like I brought a bomb!" The whole place went quiet and everyone around scurried away from her like she was a terrorist. Fun times.

Now the reason why I wanted this section of Pop, was because I had heard you could see fireworks from Epcot and you could

We had gotten a new camera and it was really not making us happy with outside shots, so since we could not get good pics, steve played around with settings, to at least make them look somewhat neat or funky

So here are some pics of our nighttime view and of our fireworks

After the fireworks, my niece left and we all got ready for bed.

It was a great first night, not overdoing it and getting a little taste of Disney before our first full day tomorrow

And one last thought. I think that next time you should give Trent the camera for the WHOLE trip! Then you can title your report "AROUND THE WORLD: The commodes of Disney World!!"

We might even get to see close ups of Mickey and Minnie's feet

We landed about 2:!5pm and it was on a wednesday. Weekday flights are the best

Have to see what else I have of his photos that I can post

Nah, we always pack our camera in checked luggage and have never had an issue

I love the picture of Trent falling out of the plane. That sucks that you had so much turbulance. We had a lot on our way home from PA too so I know what you mean about thinking "this is it". I thought that a couple of times myself.

We only had 2 drawers. There was a closet with, maybe, 10 hangers (I think you can request more from mousekeeping). We used the closet to store our luggage and hang up our jackets.

I have all my disney photos in one folder and as I do each day, am only going to upload the pics from that day to try and keep it in order
