Studios in HH at the 7 month mark

I was planning to book a studio at HH in 2019 (but we own at BLT). Our dates are flexible. What is the likelihood that we would be able to get a studio (in any season) at 7 months?

Lower seasons (fall, winter) possibly right at the 7 month window but no guarantee. Absolutely not for summer. There are a total of 21 lockoff 2BRs at HHI. (So, 21 studios or 21 1BR). The resort is mostly 2BRs.

We generally go in October. It's usually in the 70s during the day. Pleasant, not hot, but not really beach weather for us. The ocean always seems cold to me then.

We're taking our young children too. This may evolve into more of 'look but not touch' beach adventure. We're just really looking to do something a little different. We lived in Rhode Island for nine years and I think I came within 10 ft of the beach once (in August). Lol

Our first trip to HHI was in 2011 and we were able to get a 1BR, arriving on Easter Sunday, for 5 nights at the 7 month window without waitlisting. This was before online booking, though, so I think that was a big factor. We decided later to just add on 50 points at HHI so that we could go every three years for spring break and not have to worry about getting one of those 21 1BR's at the 7 month mark.

We just added on to our BLT points so it looks like it will be a 1BR now. But, DW asks that it be during the summer so the kids (3 & 6 at that time) can potentially get in the water. Odds on this happening? The backup plan is to head back to our home resort and book dates at our 11-month mark if we can't get this. Planning is definitely part of the fun.

We got a studio at HHI in late August 2015 at the 7 month mark. Awesome trip.

A lot of schools return from summer in mid-August, so that is probably your best chance to get one if you want Summer months. You'll probably have better odds if you're targeting a 2BR unit because there are more of those.

You could always ask for a cash discount rate and then rent out the appropriate number of points to pay for it. We've done that twice at HH in July.
