Hello-

Could anyone please explain the diff between the Studio vs the Room at the Inn at Vero Beach? My husband and I are looking to go for 3 days in prob April..any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We are looking for rexlation (without our 3yr old), time at the beach, pool and some drinks.

Any advice?

Kim

Hey Fluffy Kim,
Hopefully you didn't get too much snow down in Lakeville! The rooms are almost the same except that the Inn Rooms have 2 Queen beds and the Studio have 1 queen and a pullout couch. The bathrooms me be a tad bigger in the studios vs the inn rooms. Personally if you can get an Ocean View Inn room I would go for that 100 out 100 times over the Studio.

Enjoy VB... we are are going for our 5th visit on Sunday!! :cool1:

thanks so much...they are the same price..so why not go for the inn then based on your recommendation

dude..we got 12inches of snow..i can not wait to go

do you think end of March/middle April is a good time to go?

ps..are you a NU grad with the Husky name?

No I went to the other Huskies (UCONN) down in Storrs CT. We got about 12 - 15 inches. I think Mar-Apr will be fine, although I haven't been there during that time of year. Vero is truly beautiful if you just want to relax! It is a hidden gem, please don't tell too many people. :hyper:

Happy planning and I hope you have GREAT weather!

The Inn is better IMO. You are in the main building and have two beds. We usually get an ocean view room for the three of us and its perfect for us.

Have Fun.

I have stayed in both and by far think that the Inn room is a better option than the studio. The ocean view alone makes it worth it!

Just be sure when you check in that you don't settle for less...

When I stayed last summer with my DW and 3yo DS, we were first checked into a rather large Inn room overlooking the pool with a side view of the ocean. I called down to the front desk and requested a full, head-on view of the ocean. I was told that I would have to wait until one was available, but boy, was it worth the wait! No blaring music or late night movies playing outside my patio door, just the sounds of the surf.

IMHO, it depends on how many are in the room. My DW and I like the studios better because of the queen bed and couch. We don't need the extra bed and the extra seating and the extra room is great. We have been lucky so far requesting an ocean view and always have received at least a partial view. We have had Inn rooms a couple of times and never got the full ocean view anyway.

The Inn rooms have the advantage of being in the same building as the restaurants and Green Cabin Lounge, but the walk from the studios in the evening listening to the ocean isn't bad either, unless there's a Florida downpour. ;)

We love Vero and are going there for a couple of days next week. You will definitely get relaxation. If you are looking for a good seafood restaurant, try Squid Lips at Fin's in Sebastian on Rte 1 just north of the resort.

Going down in 2 weeks! We have a ocean view inn room. We have stayed there before, and loved it. Can't wait to get my toes in the sand!!!

PaulinCT,
Ill be there also next week maybe Ill bump into you. My family is also a BIG fan of Squid Lips!!!

. . . I don't know about the studio vs Inn room. We've loved the Inn, but now do a 1-bedroom.

Anway, it's off topic, but Squid Lips is AWESOME! Comfortable, laid back and good food. When we first were approaching it, I said to DH, "this looks like it might be a bad choice," and then there were these three ladies coming out and I asked what they thought. They said the music was good. I'm thinking what music? Happy hour? Oh great. Just what I need with DH and DS, but it was a three piece band playing James Taylor type of stuff. The view was great. Food was great and it was just the perfect atmostphere for a beach restaurant!

The inn room with the ocean view is wonderful. Just make sure you request an upper floor on the back (east) side of the inn. We haven't stayed in a studio--only inn rooms and 1 bedrooms, but the view of the ocean would make the inn better than a studio for us.

We were in Vero last April. The weather was warm, but definately not hot. The water was not warm, but we had a great time.
