My wife, whom I dearly love
, doesn't "Get it"
. I've been working on it for 20 years and some progress is being made (ie. she loves EPCOT...something to build off of!). However, I doubt she will even be a Disney nut like me

.
So to maintain household harmony and reach an agreement on a Disneyland vacation, we need to spend an equal amount of time at non-Disney destinations around LA. I was thinking of taking the family to do some Studio tours, but which ones? Too bad Disney Studios doesn't give public access
.
I heard (dare I say the "U" word?!) Universal Studios was a bit worn down, but still fun to visit at least once. Is that true? Is it still worth going to? I have 3 kids (7, 15, 15). What about Warner Brothers or Sony/MGM or ??? We plan to stay 3-4 nights in Beverly Hills before DLR. I kinda like the idea of tunneling under the Hidden Mickey fence around the Disney Studios at night and walking around the hallowed grounds, but can't get my wife to agree to that...don't know why.
Thanks for any advise you can give me.
