We are making our first trip to our second "home" next month :woohoo: and staying in a studio. I know that the studio has a small fridge, sink, coffee maker, and toaster but does it also have dinnerware and flatware?

TIA!

It's not a lot of paper plates either. They supply you with 4 paper plates, and 4 paper (cardboard) bowls. I believe you can request real dishes if you want them but we didn't need to so I'm not positive about that!

If you are a coffee lover, I have read that there is only enough coffee for one pot so you might want to bring some along (read somewhere else that it is a 12 cup coffe maker)

Welcome Home!

We are taking our first DVC trip in 2 days!

Are there irons and ironing boards in the studios?

You can request additional paper plates, bowls and plastic utensils. I have not heard of getting "real" eating supplies in a studio. If you bring coffee, don't forget to bring filters as well (the fluted, flat bottom type).

Yes, there are irons and ironing boards

Here is a list of what you might expect to find in a studio:

Two queen-size beds(OKW) or one queen-size bed and one double-size sleeper sofa with linens. (most of the other resorts)
Cable television
Mini-refrigerator
Microwave oven
Wt bar
Coffee maker and starter pack
Toaster
Paper plates
Plastic utensils
Paper towels
Iron and ironing board
Vacuum cleaner
Ceiling fan
Towel package
Toiletries starter pack
Private porch or balcony

What about a Pack-n-Play? Please, oh please, tell me that is in there somewhere.:)

PNP in the closet.

They don't provide real dishes because there is no dishwasher to wash them. It's easier for the housekeepers to toss out the old, used disposables and rewash the very few mugs and glasses between guests.

We always take some of the cheap Gladware type bowls that we buy at our Dollar Tree (3 for $1). I prefer to eat my cereal out of something more substantial than paper. If we decide we don't want to mess with taking them home (we fly), I don't feel bad throwing them out.

Here's a photo of a BWV kitchenette area of a Studio. The ones at the other resorts are similar. The paper plates and bowls can be seen in the top cabinet (doors opened), standing on edge. This unit had 2 coffee mugs and 2 glasses. The plasticware is in the glass on the shelf.
