hello there
my family has rented a studio at the VWL from sept 5-13th we are excited to try a studio instead of a hotel room! my questions are:

are the washers & dryers free? where are they located? are they busy?

what are the chances of getting an "upgrade" at check-in to a 1br or 2 br? does this ever happen? i am NOT expecting it, i am happy with a studio. i am just curious if this happens a lot, or not at all......

what were your thoughts on the studio? did you like it, or did you think the 1br is much better for your next trip?

was there a vacuum in the studio?
thanks to ANYONE who helps ease my mind!

Yes. They are free for guests of the Villas. Can't help with the other questions - I'm sure someone else will post with the info or you can ask at check in.

Chances of an upgrade with a points stay are vitually zero. The very few I've heard about were because an unexpected maintenance issue took a room(s) out of service. Occasionally, you will hear of an upgrade given to a cash guest, but even those are rare at the DVC resorts.

We prefer the 1 bedroom - but I am spoiled. Love the jacuzzi tub, the washer & dryer right in the room, two TVs and of course the fully equipped kitchen - which we use to store snacks, soda and quick/easy breakfast things. Don't cook much on vacation, LOL

Yes - it will be in the closet.

You're going to have a wonderful time.

Best wishes -

I also rent points to stay at the BWV. I was one of the very fortunate ones who did get an upgrade from a studio to a 1 bedroom, my first time there! It was during a very slow time of year(early Feb). I've since stayed in a studio a couple of times and while the 1 bedroom was wonderful, the studio is also very nice.

The laundry shouldn't be too busy.
Dh and I frequently stay in a studio and enjoy it immensely. We own points and rather than staying in a one bedroom, we prefer to stay twice as long in a studio.
One thing I would suggest is that if you plan on eating in your room quite bit, you may want to take extra paper plates, etc. The room only has 4 paper plates, bowls, etc.
I think you will thoroughly enjoy your experience. :earsgirl:
