After much debate, we've finally decided to just stay at Disney instead of going to Universal the first two nights - we'll save it for next time.

The first two nights we'd like to save some points (sorry Rich!). Would we be better off in a room at WL or studio at VWL? We are also considering a studio at BWV since we will be spending the next six days in a 2 bedroom there.

Just wondering if we'd be comfortable in a studio with 4 - two DD's 13 & 16 on the sofa bed. Would appreciate any advice......

ask for the DVC member discount for the studio at VWL -

then find the same about WL - if you can go with a standard room I am betting WL has cheaper rates - especially if you have an annual pass.

remember to factor in the cost of not having the kitchenette facilities at WL

Maybe OKW studio would work best with the 2 Queen bed configuration

thanks

I would use the points for a studio at OKW. Much more room, and 2 queen beds as well as the kitchenette. We have stayed in a WL regular room with bunk beds, and it was comfortable enough, but definately not like the DVC experience.

Since you will be spending the next 6 nights at a BWV 2 BR, I would go with a studio at BWV. If you tell MS that you will be moving into a 2 br they will link the reservations and you might not have to move. You will just spend the first 2 nights in the studio with the connecting door to the 1 br locked off then on the day you're reservation for a 2 br starts they just have to unlock the door between the studio and 1 br and viola you are in a 2 br!
This would definitly be the easiest, maybe not the cheapest but the easiest. Paying cash for a standard room at WL or a studio at OKW would be cheaper but more of a hassle with having to repack and move. However, you will probably have a better chance of getting an AP rate at OKW or even WL vs BWV. 4 people in a studio will be a little tight no matter whether it is a studio with 2 beds or 1 bed and a sleeper sofa (the size difference between the 2 types of studios is so little it is insignificant plus the studio with the sofa and bed combo feels larger and has much more usuable non bed space. Also staying in either type studio will not be any tighther than staying in a standard WL room. Good luck and have a wonderful trip!
