Hi, first off, sorry if is the wrong place to post this question :goodvibes

I am looking into renting DVC points for a stay, and was wondering what equipment the studio kitchens have. I know they have coffee maker, toaster, microwve and fridge. What size is the fridge in comparison to what size milk cartons i could fit in? DH would also like it if we could fit some beer in!!
What plates / cups / dishes / knives / forks / spoons etc do they have in the kitchenette?

I am trying to work out what is do able in terms of making breakfast and quick snacks in the microwave.

Thanks for any help

Claire :)

Here's a photo of a studio kitchen at the BWV

That will give you some idea as to the size of the fridge.
The studio's are stocked with plastic knifes/forks/spoons, papper plates (maybe 8" in dia) and smallish paper bowls.

Hi, that is great thankyou. I will probably bring a couple of bowls and plates from home that can be used in the microwave. :goodvibes

They also supply a can opener/bottle opener. The milk will fit on the door of the fridge and you MAKE THE BEER FIT. The bottles stand up on the door or lie comfortably on the shelves. Enjoy the villas...you'll never go back. :thumbsup2

Hi, thankyou, I forgot about the bottle opener issue! It would have been divorce!! :goodvibes

And as for never going back - thats what I'm afraid of! But at the moment it is looking like it not going to be much more to stay at OKW or BWV compared to POP! I figure eating cereals and toast for breakfast will save lots of $ if we order from Garden grocer. After all thats all we eat at home for b'fast anyway!!

Thanks again

Claire :)

There is also a small freezer. We often will freeze our water bottles so that they stay cold while at the parks. We sometimes will buy breakfast sandwiches and take them out of the box and keep them in the freezer too. If you need a blender :goodvibes you can call housekeeping and they will also bring that. There are coffee mugs and glasses, but all of the rest are paper products: plates, bowls, paper towels, plastic forks/spoons/knifes. I always pack a small paring knife (checked bag) because you just can't cut those limes with the plastic knife. There is dish soap and a scrubbie and dish towel -- also a vaccum cleaner in in case you want to tidy up. There is a list (generally inside the cabinet on the door) and it tells you other things you can request from housekeeping, bed rails, high chair,....

Hi thankyou for all of the information :goodvibes

I did wonder about a small freeze box in the top of the fridge, so that is great!
I will take a small knife with us, and the bed rails are definately worth thinking about. At the moment our DD is 2 and so wriggly that she is still in a cotbed! She will have her 4th birthday whilst we are there so will be in a bed by then though.

I really appreciate the great advice. :thumbsup2

Just can't wait to book now!

I've found that they usually only supply about 4 paper plates & 4 paper bowls & 4 each of the plastic silverware - just one days worth. I keep extras of all of that in our Owners Locker...along with some plastic bowls that we can microwave (think Gladware type containers) and some ziplock bags. I also have a set of sharp knives stored in it because the studios don't have anything other than plastic... You will also want some coffee filters, coffee & sugar if you use it as they only supply coffee & dry creamer for one day.
