Hello Fellow DVCer's
Planning our two week trip to the world in September. We are staying in a studio and we are trying to figure out what we can make since it is a full kitchen.

Any tips on what to eat for Breakfast/Lunch?? Your favorite studio foods?

Thanks!!

For studio stays, we enjoy cereal, toast, juice, coffee and fresh fruit for breakfast. I suggest bringing along (or purchasing) a paring knife, since studios are equipped with plastic cutlery.

Sandwiches for lunch or dinner are easy to make. If you want something hot, many stores in the WDW area carry pre-made refrigerated entrees, like pot roast and mashed potatoes that heat nicely in the microwave.

For lunch, we bought salad mix that came with Ceasar dressing. We added Perdue Shortcuts grilled chicken and had chicken Ceasar salad. It was so quick and filling.

Studios don't have full kitchens. But you can still eat very well with what is provided. Have fun!

I bring along a hot plate, pot with a lid and a frying pan. I generally do eggs for breakfast and the pot and lid are nice to have in case we want to do pasta one evening.

Not a full kitchen in the studio!

I generally buy some of the Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwichs (D-lights) and they fit fine in the freezer. Other than cheese and crackers to go with the adult beverages, we generally buy lunch meat and make sandwiches. Some juice and yogurts. That's about the extent of our cooking. Of course we always remember the margarita mix and tequila. Keep in mind that if you need a blender, you can call and they'll bring one up.

A headsup that others have already given--it's not a full kitchen in the studio:

microwave, small fridge, coffemaker. (I don't believe there was a toaster oven or toaster) When we were there last they provided styrofoam cups and plastic ware as well.

I brought coffee mugs (hate styro coffee), an electric kettle, packets of oatmeal, extra coffee since there was only set up for 2 pots and of course water bottles, park snacks and diet pepsi. However we ate out most of the time and only used the "kitchen" for breakfast and cocktail fixings.

Yes there is a toaster in the studios along with a full size coffee pot. THere are 2 ceramic coffee mugs (we had an issue with styrofoam cups, but that was resolved and we are back to our ceramic coffee mugs now).

We are at BCV right now in a studio. I purchased a griddle at Walmart for $20. It has been great for Grilled Cheese, Hot dogs, Hamburgers, eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon etc... It is an easy wipe down to clean as the surface is teflon, and it tucks away easily for storage. The fridge easily holds a gallon of milk, 1/2 gallon of OJ, hot dogs, pre-stamped hamburgers, and plenty of room for other goodies. We are here for 12 days, so we opted not to go with the dining plan this trip and are saving quite a bit by preparing some meals in the studio. BCV has lots of places to spread out and eat, such as the solarium, around the quiet pool, on the deck, etc. We even use the in room table with the 2 in room chairs and pull in the 2 deck chairs for the kids to eat in the room.
