For those of you that stay in Studios or 1BRs, how do you handle clothes storage for a longer trip? We are a family of 4 and I was debating a 1BR at Riviera for an upcoming stay, but it looks like the storage is limited to 1 dresser in the master bedroom along with the closet. Might be doable for a couple days, but not sure about a longer stay.

One thing to consider is if you're in a one bedroom you have a washer and dryer so you could do laundry which would reduce the amount of clothing you need to bring. If that's not an option you want to consider then I would say that the one bedrooms at BW have night stands with storage and the TV cabinet and coffee table in Livingroom also have storage space. In a one bedroom you have the entry closet as well as the closet in bedroom. With all these options there should be ample storage for your clothing. I would also say the one bedroom would probably be a better choice for a longer stay, you have more room to spread out. JMHO, whatever you decide I hope you enjoy your stay. :wizard:

We usually go for 6 nights, but we usually pack enough stuff for 2 weeks. I try to unpack my clothes into the dresser and my DW, DD and DGD keep their stuff in the suitcase. We drive so We don’t worry about suitcase weight or number of bags we bring. With a 1 bedroom you get the washer and dryer so laundry is easy.

Packing cubes and hanging closet organizers. I’ve found that since BWV put in the Murphy bed, there’s almost no storage space. It’s tough for just two people! I hang the closet organizer and move the packing cubes into each cubby. Then I nest the luggage one inside of the other and store in front of the door between the studio and connecting 1BR.

When we stay in Poly DVC studios we have to get creative with storage space. We’re there for 2 weeks so we really like to unpack and spread out. In Poly studios there’s one closet and no dresser (though there’s a few scattered drawers (and when the sofa beds open you can’t access the one drawer under the bed) and a coffee table chest. We bring some of those hanging cubbies that has the separated sections for outfits, and we put the little kids clothes In there, an outfit for each day of the week so they can just grab their clothes and dress themselves, and it utilizes vertical space for extra storage. We also consolidate some of the things in the kitchenette cabinets to free up a few shelves for additional storage. Our arrival day is always spent trying to figure out how to store our stuff. Our only complaint about the Poly studios is storage. We also bring a pop up hamper to corral dirty laundry.

We are a family of 3 and drive. We have stayed in studios before but I feel so cramped so we'll probably only be staying in 1BR's from now on. I do not use the washer and dryer. I'm on vacation. I do plenty of that at home and it's the last thing I want to do at Disney. I also don't unpack much. I do like to utilize the hangers especially for shirts or pants that wrinkle easy. A few items are taken out for me and my daughter, my husband on the other hand fully unpacks. Dirty clothes go into a laundry bag and upon leaving all clothes have been worn and the bag with the dirty laundry goes back into the suitcase.

We usually stay in a 2BR, but I was debating a 1BR to stay at a different resort/save points. We really need 3 sleep surfaces.

OKW, AKV (not value villas) and BLT all have a twin sized sleeper chair in the living room along with the queen sized sleeper sofa. And the king bed in the living room.
