Stuck on Splash, Swimming in Sewage, & Still Laughing! A "Classy" 6/11 TR- 5/6 DONE!

I'm SO happy to hear that you guys were able to find a nicer house at a better price! It's fantastic news!!!

HAHA, I love the Frugal McDugal thing because before I read the continuation of your sentence, I was like, "Isn't he the same way?" Frugal is the best word though. Cheap has such a bad connotation. Howard and I are also really frugal. We have to convince each other to spend money to buy things we really want!

I don't know what's happening to me, but I'm starting to cry a lot more at happy things too! It just takes over!!! Haha, I don't know that I'd cry at Sea World though. You're so cute!

HAHA, that seal was hilarious!!!

I HATE SHARKS! AGHHHH!!!

I'm always thinking about that splash zone of Sea World. I mean, it's animal water. Haha. I just can't get over that. I know Disney water isn't necessarily the cleanest either, but we don't know of things that live in it (haha, notice I pointed out that we know of because there could be a ton for all we know!). The music is really inspirational though. I think the cheering is hysterical though.

Ooo, I hope we get to see a picture of the beach towels you got!

I love how you tricked John with the Boma thing! CLEVER! ... HAHA, until I kept reading ... I can't believe John knew! HAHAHA!!! I'm so excited to see everything from AKL because that's going to be our honeymoon resort!

The picture of John figuring out the surprise was so funny! You had a good trick going though!

I love leaving Stacy on all the time when we're in the hotel room. I've been trying to figure out a way to get her show off YouTube onto my iPod but have had no luck!

Oh my gosh I love Disney surprises!! When we surprised Vickie with the princess breakfast in January I was SO excited! That was so fun! I think your plan went over really well... even if he figured it out! He was probably extremely excited!

And that sneaky smile... SUCH a deer face!! Good Job, John. I'm proud.

YAYYYY we're mentioned! AWW YEAH! I'm pretty sure I probably said that when I got to AKL in April!

JAM-bo. :rotfl: LOVE IT. That's so funny!

Your room looks lovely, even though you didn't get an upgrade. But hey, YOU WERE IN DISNEY! So I'm sure you enjoyed it anyway.

I'm so glad you updated 2 days in a row - I missed your updates so much! Can't wait for more!!

You're right, Disney surprises are the best!

Haha, John and his deer face! Priceless!

I was totally fine without that upgrade, but it would have been nice! I was just glad to be in a Deluxe resort!

I'm sorry I've been absent with updates again! I have one prepared though!

Wow! Another update?! :cool1: Reading this is literally one of the last things I'm doing before we hit the road!!! :woohoo:

That is exactly why I saved WWOHP for the end of the trip. LOL.

JOHN'S MAKING THE DEER FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :worship: You should tell him.

Okay, I loved that conversation. And your thoughts. You are too funny!

HAHA! The ADR list. It gets people EVERY time. HE FIGURED IT OUT! Hahaha this is so entertaining. Boma doesn't even serve lunch, do they? I like your tactics. We told Vickie we were having breakfast in Germany (:confused3) and she totally went for it! John's a little too smart for that now.

Awww!!! Thanks for mentioning us! :goodvibes YOU'RE THERE. AWW YEAH.

At first I didn't get how he said it, but now I totally do. HAHAHAHA. I love you guys. Seriously you are too cute. Jam-bo. I'm gonna call it that from now on.

We self-parked as well. Haha and we had a pool view room, which we ended up LOVING.

These hillbilly moments are killin' me.

Aw your room is beautiful! King bed and a couch, very nice!

Did you know that Stacey is a professional dancer and roller skater? Yep, she is. I'm a HUGE fan. When she dies/retires/gets too old to continue, I AM GETTING HER JOB if it is the LAST thing I do.

Boo about the gross food, even though I am in LOVE with the AKL CS, but yay for finding a precious giraffe and being off to MK! Hope the start wasn't tooooo rocky!

Well, au revior DISboards!! I'm off to the World! See ya hopefully not too real soon because I don't want this trip to ever end! Not as catchy as "See ya real soon!" is it? Ah well. I digress...

That is so cool that you read my update right before going to Disney!

Hahaha, I told John about the deer face and he got really excited. He keeps trying to make it randomly now.

You're right, Boma doesn't serve lunch! I really should have thought out my plan more because I think it was pretty transparent!

I did not know that about Stacey! That is so cool! I can definitely see you taking over her position! You would be perfect for it!

I would say have a great trip, but you've been back for awhile now so nevermind! :rotfl:

Great update! You are too funny, I love the way you write. That picture of John in the car is just perfect! It's totally written all over his face that he knows your secret! :goodvibes

Thank you so much! You are so sweet! You're right, it was totally obvious that he knew!

Yay you're finally there!

LOL, too funny that John caught on to the surprise! I'm impressed you kept it a secret for as long as you did, I would have definitely blurted it out at some point! :rotfl:

Love all the hillbilly moments! I don't think you guys are hillbillies though, there's nothing wrong with being really excited over staying in such a beautiful resort! :rotfl: I try to act all mature when we stay somewhere new, and that lasts for about 10 seconds before I'm freaking out! So what's the equivalent to a hillbilly if you live in CT? Because that's me, I guess!

Your room is so beautiful! It's seriously almost making me regret switching to WL! Today is exactly 45 days from my trip, I wonder if you can still make changes at exactly 45 days? :rotfl:

Aww, that giraffe is so cute, I love giraffes! :lovestruc

Can't wait to read about MK! :cool1:

I can't believe I kept it a secret that long either!

Haha, I'm not sure the CT equivalent of a hillbilly! We will just make you an honorary hillbilly!

We loved our room! But I'm sure the WL rooms are gorgeous too!

Hiya!:wave2:

Just got all caught up on your report and I have to say I love it!:thumbsup2

You have a great writing style - very entertaining!

Your report has been very useful to us - we are considering going back to WDW at some point in the future and we had considered staying at Universal for a few days first.

But your report has shown us what we knew in our heart of hearts - that if you are in Orlando - the first place you want to go is Disney!:lovestruc

We might put a couple of days at Universal in the middle of our Disney goodness!;)

I love the picture of John snuggling up next to the towel Mickey head!:lmao:

Can't wait to read more!:surfweb:

:welcome: I'm so glad you are enjoying it! Thank you for your kind comments!

I am glad my report was useful! I would definitely recommend going to Disney first. It was so hard not being there!

He's so funny! I can't believe he was able to sleep when we were finally at Disney! I was too excited!

Yay you are finally at Disney and AKL!!! As I was reading I was getting excited that you had managed to pull the surprise off however then I read you were rumbled!! :rotfl: Oh well it's still great that you managed to keep it from John for so long :thumbsup2

I was also hoping you would get an upgarde but :woohoo: on getting a king bed this time round!

Thanks! I was bummed that he figured it out, but that was a personal best for me! Usually I blow secrets right away!

I was SO happy about that king bed!

Hey! It's a guy thing! He's just doing what is recorded in his DNA! :lmao:

Love your TR writing style. If Stacy ever takes a vacation, I'm going to vote for you to take her place!! :cool1:

You are so right about that!

Thank you so much! That is just about the nicest thing anyone could say to me!

:cool1: Congrats on the house! Funny how things work out! :thumbsup2

Sea World looks like fun. I love sea life so I need to try and go some day.
Hooray for AKL! I'm staying Deluxe for the first time in October and I am so excited! (Wilderness Lodge) Can't wait to hear more about the trip!

Thanks! We are thrilled!

Sea World is great! I highly recommend it!

You are going to love the deluxe resorts! They're amazing!

This is the first trip report of yours that I've read and so far I love it...We have been to Disney 7 times since 2002 and have not been to Universal...EVER. I too always get that question, "Do you ever go to Universal? and I always say, No. Everything I want to see and need to do is at WDW.

I'm so glad you are enjoying it! Thank you! :)

I agree with you now. I realize that WDW is the only place for me!

Really enjoying, love the surprise resort upgrade you planned. I also get too excited and have a hard time keeping surprises as surprises :)

Thank you! I'm so glad you are enjoying it! Keeping surprises is tough, especially Disney surprises!

Great pics!!! When you said you didn't get upgraded, I thought you had the parking lot view but you have a good view!! :)

We actually did have a parking lot view, but there was a lot of trees blocking it so it was okay! The animal shots I took are from the hallway on the way to our room. Still great, though!

You got pretty darn close on the AKL surprise and I am impressed. I never could of kept the secret that long. Your room looks amazing and I am glad you were able to upgrade.

Congrats on the new house! How exciting!

Looking forward to more!

I was so proud of myself for keeping the secret! That room was great!

Thank you so much! We are thrilled!

I absolutely love your TR!!! :thumbsup2 You are soooo witty that I literally crack up at all your jokes and hilarious remarks, you sound like such a riot. You also have such a way with describing your scenarios that I can actually picture them. Yeah, for an awesome update.

Thank you so much for saying such nice things! You are very kind! I am so glad you are enjoying my crazy antics! ;)

I love your love of the Sea World dolphins!! It truly makes my eyes water when I read stories about dolphins saving distressed surfers from sharks and such. And that screaming sea lion was truly the best- the San Diego Sea World sea lions do the exact same thing and it always cracks me up!

The picture of John figuring out you were staying at AKL was seriously so HILARIOUS!!! Playing tricks on the big tough guys is just so satisfying! :rotfl2:

And also, congrats on your new house!!! :woohoo: I bet your dogs will love their new yard!

Dolphins are so amazing! I am so glad someone else feels that way!

Haha, I love that picture too! It cracks me up every time I see it!

Yay for the new house! I hope you post pics when all the paperwork is done!

At least you managed to keep the surprise as long as you did, that's pretty impressive!

I feel the same way about unpacking! I just feel settled.

Can't wait to hear more!

I will most definitely post pics! We are moving in on the 23rd!

I was pretty proud of myself!

I love unpacking at Disney! It's like I've moved in!

That's great you managed to keep the AKL upgrade a surprise for so long and you almost made it all the way to the resort. John just had to notice the darn ADR list Hahahaha Well, at least he was still happy about the change in resorts :thumbsup2 I'm a huge fan of AKL, so I definitely approve of your decision to change as well Hahaha

 at the Jambo pronunciation. Imagining someone saying that it must've been pretty funny to hear Hahaha

I've never stayed in Jambo House, only at Kidani and I must say I love the lobby at Jambo. It seems a bit bigger and there are actually rooms surrounding it. Seems like a lot more to do. And the chandeliers are VERY cool.

Love all the towel animals you got, from my memory, I'm still yet to get more than just the Mickey head formation, so it's cool to see the towel animals other DISers have gotten :D

:thumbsup2 to watching Stacey! After reading a few TRs raving about her, I'm starting to develop an interest in her. I actually found the Must-Do TV Spot video on YouTube. I still need to watch videos from before then, but it always gives me my Disney Fix, reminding me of the first time I put on the TV in my "Home" :teeth:

Love the picture of you in front of the giraffe, I think you caught that moment perfectly :)

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I was so close with the surprise! Oh well, it worked out fine!

AKL is amazing, isn't it? We absolutely loved it! You're right, the Jambo House lobby is gorgeous!

I hope that you get a little bit of variety in your towel formations next trip! They are really fun, although some can be a little creepy!

Stacey is great! She is one of those things that I always associate, like you said, with being "home"! :goodvibes

Thank you so much! I love that giraffe pic too. It was FB picture for the longest time!

I love John's face in that picture. He definitely looked like he knew something, but that he just wasn't going to admit it.

I love AKL. It is definitely one of my favorite, if not my favorite, resort on property.

Hahaha, yeah his face pretty much said it all!

AKL is gorgeous! It is most definitely our favorite now!

Aww I loved reading about the surprise! I'm sorry it kinda backfired on you though, lol. But still I'm sure he really loved the surprise and that picture you got is so priceless:goodvibes

I love the picture with the giraffe too, they're such cool animals!

Thank you! Even though it backfired it turned out okay in the end! It was so fun!

You're right, they are cool animals! I can't imagine having a neck like that!

I'm back! Stupid internet. But that is all fixed now!

And now the stuck on splash begins & so do the tons of laughs!!!

Welcome back! You're here just in time! We're almost to stuck on splash!

Great Updates! I am back to work now too (the start of the school year is always wild isn't it?) so I totally understand being crazy busy.

The picture of your husband on the way to AKL is my favorite :rotfl: I am sorry your didn't get to keep the surprise as long as you hoped -- but I am pretty impressed you got that far! I would have blurted it out way before that!

We have never stayed at AKL (but my parents did their opening weekend! I am second generation Disney Obsessed! My son is third :lmao: ) But we love Boma and wandering around the resort.

I hope the moving process is going smoothly for you and that your school year is off to a great start.

You're right, the start of the school year is crazy! I'm still settling in!

Thank you! I was proud of myself for keeping the secret that long!

That is so cool that you have three generations of Disney lovers! Boma is great; their breakfast is my favorite!

Thank you for all your kind words!

Hi! I'm in! :yay: Pretty late, but it sounds like there's a lot of excitement left to come. I've alreadly laughed a lot catching up!

I took a very long and unintentional break from the DIS. Life and work got away from me. :confused3

Congrats on the house and I'm glad John's deployment got pushed back some!

:welcome: I'm so glad you're back! I've missed your posts!

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

I love how you tricked John with the Boma thing! CLEVER! ... HAHA, until I kept reading ... I can't believe John knew! HAHAHA!!! I'm so excited to see everything from AKL because that's going to be our honeymoon resort!

I was so excited to see your comment! I am horribly behind on your TRs! I have got to catch up! I will probably have a whole page of comments to make about them!

You're right, frugal has a much better connotation than cheap! It just means we like to save our money for more important things! ;)

Embrace the crying! I cry all the time, but usually I am totally fine with it. This sounds weird, but it's kind of refreshing!

I am so glad that I am not the only one freaked out by the "animal water"! I just imagined it going into cheering people's open mouths and almost gagged.

I will definitely post a picture of the beach towels! I am going to do a souvenir update at the end I think!

You are going to love AKL for your honeymoon resort! It is perfect in every way, and romantic!

The picture of John figuring out the surprise was so funny! You had a good trick going though!

I love leaving Stacy on all the time when we're in the hotel room. I've been trying to figure out a way to get her show off YouTube onto my iPod but have had no luck!

Thank you! I thought it would work, but he was too smart for me!

I am the same way! I leave her on constantly. If John changes the channel I get so mad! :rotfl:

Note to self... If I ever use a fake ADR as a cover up for a surprise, put it on the ADR list :lmao:

HAHAHA you should definitely do that! :lmao:

Hi folks! I'm back after another long work and new house induced absence! I keep thinking things are going to calm down around here, but I keep being wrong! Oh well! I know that once we get moved it I will be able to take a deep breath...and spent about 12 straight hours on the DIS! ;)

Anyway, when I left off we were going to our first park of the trip...

AnniversaryTrip224.jpg

I was so pumped, so I dragged John to the tram as fast as possible and then took the obligatory one-armed photo.

AnniversaryTrip225.jpg

Looking back at that picture, I'm trying to figure out what's going on with the kid behind us. Is she hot? Tired? Unconscious? I'm not sure, but whatever it is, she doesn't really look like she's have a good time. Maybe she was thinking, "Sheesh, these nerds in front of me are taking a picture on the tram. I feel an overwhelming sense of secondhand embarrassment."

Anyway, we hopped off the tram and got straight onto the monorail! I managed to snag one of the coveted window seats so that I could take a picture of this baby on our way by!

AnniversaryTrip227.jpg

At this point I looked at John and yelled, "I'm gonna ride that puppy!" in my best Stacey voice. The rest of my monorail compartment didn't seem too impressed.

The next thing that happened was unexpected, but I think it was foreshadowing for the rest of our night. There appeared to be a monorail traffic jam, so we had to dangle around Space Mountain for a few minutes while they cleared up whatever was going on. It was totally fine with me, because some lady spotted my Dooney and Bourke hipster and we got into a wonderful conversation about purses. Before I knew it we were on the move again and I saw this!

AnniversaryTrip228.jpg

And then we were off the monorail and I could get closer to this!

AnniversaryTrip229.jpg

I was so overjoyed that I just couldn't help but burst into song! You know the song that they play on Stacey's Must Do Disney video? I have never been able to understand the words, so in front of God, my embarrassed husband, and every Magic Kingdom guest entering the parks, I started belting out, "Living it up, a hot sauce feeling! Something something something...let the memories begin!"

If anyone knows the real lyrics please enlighten me because I am totally clueless. After my little performance we made it into the park and I immediately saw something new!

AnniversaryTrip230.jpg

I had read on the DIS that they were moving Mickey's meet and greet here, and I thought it was so cool that you could get a FastPass to see him. I was very tempted, but then I remembered that they had been testing out a new talking Mickey (I saw the videos on YouTube) and I got nervous. As much as I wanted to go in and see if the Mickey talked, I didn't know what I would say if he did! I chickened out, but made a vow to come back later in the week.

We made our way down Mainstreet USA and I was just soaking it all in: the sights, the smells, the sounds! I felt like I was home again! :cloud9:

AnniversaryTrip233.jpg

This time it was John's turn to drag me, because he wanted to get to Space Mountain as fast as humanly possible!

AnniversaryTrip235.jpg

I still had time to snap a few walking photos. Here's John containing his excitement pretty well.

AnniversaryTrip236.jpg

And here's me, not containing my excitement very well at all.

AnniversaryTrip237.jpg

We decided to use our past trip strategy, which is John going ahead to get the FastPasses while I meander behind him. This accomplishes two things: it helps us get them faster because he has ridiculously long legs, and it keeps me from getting tired too quickly because I have short weak legs.

Success!

AnniversaryTrip238.jpg

*Edit* I totally forgot something that happened when I posted this update earlier. The reason our FPs have two totally different times on them is because as John was approaching the FP kiosk this really nice couple offered us their FPs. We have given away FPs at Disney before but never received them, so we were stoked!

We decided that while we waited for our FP time we would go hit up one of my favorite rides!

AnniversaryTrip239.jpg

I had read online about the changes they had made to the queue and to the ride itself, so I was beside myself with excitement about this. If you haven't been to see it yet, they now have the queue split up into two sections. You can either take the scenic route which takes you by all the new interactive stuff, or you can take the short route that bypasses all of that. I was eager to see the new additions so we took the scenic route.

AnniversaryTrip240.jpg

If you touched the instruments on this "tomb" you could hear the music playing!

AnniversaryTrip242.jpg

AnniversaryTrip243.jpg

AnniversaryTrip244.jpg

Pretty cool, huh? I definitely think these new additions are worth seeing once, but for the rest of the trip we would bypass them and go through the short line.

As we were heading into the HM I noticed this really rowdy group of teenagers. There was probably about seven of them, and let me just say, they were way too big to be acting the way they were. I'm all about having fun at Disney, but they were screaming at the top of their lungs and yelling mean things at the CMs and cursing nonstop. I was hoping they would shut up when we actually boarded our doom buggies, but alas, they only got worse. They were split into three different doom buggies, and there was only one car between their parade of nonsense and us. :headache: Therefore, I had to hear them the ENTIRE ride. I was really angry that they were ruining my first time on one of my favorite rides, but I was willing to let it go. That is, of course, until they started screaming the most obscene words and statements I have ever heard at the top of their lungs. UM, EXCUSE ME? There were CHILDREN on this ride. Children who did not need their magical Disney trip ruined by the smut these people were yelling. That was my breaking point.

As soon as we made it off the ride I got off the moving platform and rounded on this group of kids. They were all about a foot taller than me, but the look on my face stopped every single one of them in their tracks. In case any of your forgot, I am a high school English teacher. Which means I am pretty well versed when dealing with mouthy teenagers. Now don't get me wrong, the majority of teenagers are amazing and intelligent and well spoken and flat out awesome (like all of my wonderful teenager friends here on the DIS), but there are some, like this group, that need a firm talking to. Which is exactly what I gave them. And believe it or not, they listened with was seemed to be remorse. I pulled the guilt trip on them, and a few parents who had been on the ride with their children joined me. When it was all finished they stomped away looking embarrassed and grumpy, but I'm hoping their attitudes and behavior improved.

After my heroic actions (just kidding) I was feeling pretty proud of myself and also pretty hungry. We had not made an ADR for this night because we had planned on eating counter service, but since it was our first night John and I decided we wanted to celebrate with something a little better. Well, that and we were both starving because of our less-than-satisfying lunch. We set off in search of a place with an open time slot. The first place we decided to try was somewhere we had never been before!

AnniversaryTrip248.jpg

Up Next: Did we get to eat at the Plaza? Stay tuned to find out!

Good for you giving those kids a talking to! And no, I'm not being sarcastic. :lmao: It seems to be the conversation that I have with my family often. I do not remember being that obnoxious when I was a teenager. Especially the cursing, I just don't understand it. I ask myself "what are you trying to prove"?

Your excited face is exactly how I feel when I get to the Magic Kingdom for the first time!

Very good plan that you have for John getting fastpasses. The long leg / short leg logic seems to work.

I love getting the window seat on the monorail, too! It just makes the ride that much more enjoyable. Although I prefer when the windows aren't covered by the pictures with the tiny dots - I always get kind of dizzy trying to look through them! :lmao:

I know exactly what you mean about feeling at home when you walk into the MK! :cloud9: Love that feeling!

Good for you for saying something to those teenagers! I know I was a teenager once, too, but honestly, I never liked them even when I was one. I know it's bad to lump them all into one category, but some of them can just be so vile. It's one thing to speak that way when you're around adults, but it's completely different when there are a bunch of children around. I commend your efforts! :worship:

Yay an update!!! :woohoo: I saw on the other Joni's PTR that you can't text right now...you're gonna have that fixed by my trip, right? :rotfl:

LOL, I wonder what that kid's problem was on the tram behind you? Defeated by Disney World already? :rotfl2:

I have to keep my Stacey quotes to a minimum around Brandon, he's not very amused by her. :confused3 I don't get it, yes, she's annoying, but she's such an important part of every Disney trip!!

The thought of a talking Mickey Mouse freaks me out...I'm sorry, but leave the talking to the Princesses! Mickey can communicate just fine without words!

The new HM queue looks so cool, but I'll probably just go through it once and then bypass it any other time we go on it! The thought of all the germs over there...ughhh!!! :scared1:

Yay I'm glad you put those kids in their places! pirate: I don't mind people having fun and getting a little crazy at Disney, and yes, I know adults (even teens) swear (I mean, I try to keep it at a minimum at Disney World, but sometimes you can't help it!) but seriously, there's a time and a place! :sad2:

Can't wait to see if you ended up at the Plaza! :cool1:

I'm glad you said something to those kids! There is no need for behavior like that in a magical place like WDW!

Can't wait to see pictures of the new house!!

YAY MAGIC KINGDOM! LOL @ the random kid in the back of the picture. I'm guessing she had not noticed because then I'm sure you would've heard some whispering back there ::yes:: But who cares, you're in Disney! People should understand the weird excitement people have down there :D

SPACE MOUNTAIN! :cloud9: I need to watch another one of the ride-throughs on YouTube to suffice for the fact I won't be riding that one for awhile. At least I will be riding the other one in DLR :cool1: LOL @ your Stacey outburst or maybe a :thumbsup2 will be better. People in your compartment just don't understand how truly awesome Stacey is ;)

Finally, the Magic Kingdom! (: The song from Stacey's must-do video is called Celebrate You by Corbin Bleu. I have it on my iPod, LOVE that song, though I think the original version is better, though Bleu's is a bit more modernized... nevermind. The lyrics go like this:

It's the time of your life!
You don't want to miss out
On Right here and now
There's so many reasons why
You don't wanna stop
It's your chance live it up!
And everything you do
Celebrate You!

There is more to it, but a lot of it is very repetitive. If you look up Celebrate You by Corbin Bleu on YouTube, you can watch the music video and hear the whole song. (:

Awwww... you walked past the new Mickey M&G darn! You do know now that they haven't put the talking Mickey in place there yet? Only for certain shows not M&Gs, that's in DLR, so you shouldn't have been too worried, but it's okay, I think that M&G doesn't get big crowds, so you probably could go meet with the princesses and Mickey on a future trip :teeth:

I really should make note of your past trip strategy, when I go back to WDW or if the same philosophies apply in DLR then there, but for me to rush off to get FPs at a certain ride since I'm the one who's always held back and can easily get them. It would work out fairly well for me and the rest of my group. Now, where's my notebook to remind me of this? lol

Oh, I love the new queue for HM! It looks so cool! Seems like something to definitely try at least once. If only I had gone to WDW a month later than that was planned when I was last there and I would've been able to experience first hand :( Darn Magic Music Days!

I can't stand those type of kids! I'm 15 years old (a teenager), myself of course and I don't act this way, but when I went on my first trip, we ran into a similar situation. Good thing we handled it well and got away, they are just so much trouble. I'm happy to see you used your super teacher powers for the good and stopped the evil teenager villains before it got worse, saving other park guests from the "agony" you had to go through not being able to enjoy your ride :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read about if you got ADRs at the Plaza! :mickeyjum

Great update! The new queue for HM looks like a lot of fun. Good for you in saying something to the rowdy kids.

Looking forward to seeing where you ended up eating. :)

Yay an update! :cool1: Lol that girl sure does not look happy in your pic on the tram.

You should have recorded your Stacey voice so we could all have heard it - can't wait to watch her in Disney World! :yay:

I'm looking forward to Mickey's new meet and greet area - having never seen the old place don't think it will make much difference to me.

I love your excited face! Think I'm going to be using your Fastpass strategy as I also have short legs.

Yay you got to see the changes that were made to HM. The way them teenagers behaved is awful - I know people are likely to be excited but to use offensive language when children are nearby - totally not acceptable. I'm happy that you used your teaching skills to get them to understand :thumbsup2

Hope you managed to get in at Plaza!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. :thumbsup2 Too many people, young and old, are too scared (or too politically correct) to take a stand when they see someone doing something they should not be doing. I imagine if these kids' parents had done what you did a few more times in their past that they might not have been so rude and disrespectful. Kids will be kids but there is absolutely no excuse for that kind of behavior. I salute you for your courage, fortitude and consideration of the younger children around you to take a stand where it was obviously needed!

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now. Love your TR. Please keep it coming.

:rotfl:

It was a great way to get me excited!

YAY John! Haha I am so proud. The deer face is so fun. He is precious and a half.

Eh, it's okay! You were excited! I totally understand. :)

Aw thank you! I want her job soo bad!

Haha well thanks anyway! We had an amazing time! I'm sure you know by now that Jess came down and surprised me, and Vickie was there too. The frumps were back together! :goodvibes

Okay...now onto the update! YAY!

Maybe that little girl is just tired and hasn't fully woken up yet. Or maybe she just doesn't appreciate the tram like you and John do.
Pity...

Okay, you're teeth are like REALLY white. :teeth:

I would have clapped if I was in your monorail compartment. Great pic!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Ohhh that song is PRICE.LESS. I am so proud of your bravery. That's awesome. From now on I'm gonna sing it like that, because I have no clue what all the words are etiher. That's great.

I love that new meet and greet! :goodvibes It's so cute! Mickey doesn't talk though, so no worries.

Those FP's are for two very different times... :confused3

I love the new HM queue! It's so fun! And one of my faves too. It's such a classic.

Hehe that's a shout out to me I think! I cannot believe they did that. I'm sorry but I hate when teenagers do that kind of stuff, ESPECIALLY in Disney. I would feel so bad for all the families that had to put up with it. Ugh. How rude!

You go girl! You tell them how it is! :thumbsup2

Oooh I hope you got to eat at the Plaza! I want to try that place so bad! I've heard great things.popcorn::

Aw I love the first moments of going into MK for the first time of the trip! They really are so magical, and truly the best:goodvibes

I'm SO glad you gave that group of teenagers a talking to. We need more people in the world like you to set more teenagers straight:laughing: That is just not right for them to ruin everyone elses ride experience because they feel like they need to be loud and obnoxious:sad2:

I hope you got into the Plaza! I love reading about people's experiences there as it's not a really popular restaurant so I never get to hear about it.

Love that your first park is MK. Thank you for for saying something to the teenagers for their behavior. I am the parent of a teenager and am always concerned when she goes out with her friends that she will get "sucked in" and end up acting like one of "those kids". My husband and daughter very often move faster than I do while in the parks, but it's usually because I want to stop and take pictures. In the seven trios we have made as a family, I have probably taken approximately 11,000 pictures.

Thank you! I understand what you mean, what point does all that cursing make?! Especially around little kids... :sad2:

Haha I hate that picture but I wanted to post it because I felt like it really captured the mood!

:worship:

I love the window seat on the monorail unless there's greasy smudges all over it from other people's noses! That grosses me out so bad!

Isn't that just the best feeling on earth?

I know what you mean. I was a teenager just five years ago, but I never acted like that. Most of them are great, but some just have attitudes. I guess that goes for any group of people, though. Thank you! :)

:cool1:

Don't worry, texting is up and running again! By the way, you were the first to find out my news! ;)

Hahaha seriously, I think she was defeated! Amateur! :rotfl:

John likes Stacey, thank goodness. I think if he didn't he would divorce me because I'm so obsessed with her!

The talking Mickey freaks me out too, but I am intrigued by him!

That's how I felt about the new HM queue. Once was enough!

I know what you mean, I am the same way. I just couldn't believe they were cursing like that around little kids!

I'm glad you said something to those kids! There is no need for behavior like that in a magical place like WDW!

Can't wait to see pictures of the new house!!

I totally agree! People just don't act like that at Disney!

I am so excited to move in! I will post them as soon as possible, I promise! :)
