Airline recommendations for wheelchair assistance?

Are there any airlines which you would recommend (or not recommend) for those who need wheelchair assistance? We used to be big fans of Southwest, primarily because of the way they treated me when I fractured my pelvis and needed wheelchair assistance. Although that has become a permanent need, Southwest's prices have skyrocketed, leading us to look at other airlines. Are there any we should look towards or away from in terms of their treatment of wheelchair assistance?

it might have more to do with the airports. i have been stood up by southwest in denver., but many good connections here too. and stood up by delta in pdx.

It's the airports, not the airlines. Most have an adequate number wheelchair assistants, but there are some that are shorthanded.
We always book with a 2 hr or more layover in case we have to wait. ATL and MCO have always been pretty fast with helping in our experience.
