Stubby's family returns again TR begins on page 5

How many days until you return? I wish I had made mine a couple days sooner. I got bumped to 11:40 at BB. Kids want to sit by water...guess we will wait.

I'm going in about a week for a few days and a day at Legoland. I did make a Plaza Inn reservation for Minnie and Friends on a MM day. I have an AP so I'm going to eat and get going during the MM time to get to ST before the big crowds arrive.

I might add Cafe Orleans(yes for the fries and a monte cristo) or Big Thunder Ranch BBQ for a dinner. But this trip I'm planning to try to drive out of the parks into Anaheim for some meals, so I'm not quite sure.


I'd try to sit by the water in BB. When you check in ask for that and expect to wait 15 extra minutes for those tables. Kids will like to watch the POTC boats drift.

We have about 5 and a half weeks to go. Even dh is saying he can't wait.

We went shopping last week and bought the girls some Disney character shirts. Still need to find a few more for older dd and one each for middle and youngest dd's. I don't have anything yet....seems that is the way it always happens. And I still need to order our matching shirts.


Also need to buy some new luggage. Ours was getting pretty old and I finally just threw it out the other day so I wouldn't put it off again.

So we are going to try to see WOC on Wed night the 27th. Hopin to get the 2nd showing. The only problem is we are going to be really tired the next morning and we have Minnies scheduled for 7:10. I think we should do F! on Tuesday night but may have to wait til the weekend.

As far as characters
Dh wants to see Donald and Eeyore
Oldest DD wants to see Jesse
Middle DD wants to see the princesses
Youngest DD wants to see Tinkerbell and Rapunzel
And last but not least I want to see Mary.
We missed her last trip and I was so sad. As a kid we would go to my aunts every Thanksgiving and would watch it. Have to get a pic w her.
Last trip we didn't buy the photopass for some reason but plan on taking lots of pics and getting one this time. Still no luggage....but bought a cheap camcorder to take. Wanted to get a nice one but Dh said it was probably a bad idea since we probably won't use it anyway. Thinking of buying a camera. We usually just use dh's phone which takes great pics. Easier to keep track of too.
Dh wants to get a locker each day so we don't have t o keep our jackets with us.

I thought I stopped by and see your PTR. First I thought it was July 25 to 30. Your original trip was during 4th of July Weekend and I would assume that it is during July 25 to 30? Hope you and your family have a great trip to DL in less than a month and can't wait to read your TR.

I thought I can give you a tip for WoC and F! that you can see both in one night. You said that your DH wants to see both shows? You can do both shows in one night and I thought it was hard and crazy to get on over from DCA to DL. It is possible to see both shows during the same night. I did see both shows on Monday night. Watch the first show of F! and got a sitting spot during the 2nd show of F!. My group had to walk fast on over to DL during the fireworks.

Yes, it is possible to see the first show of WoC and then the 2nd show of F! all in the same night. Some people would say that is not possible when you have to walk from the PP viewing area over to DL ROA with the other people. I have heard that other DISers have done it without kids. But I had done it this week with a group of three grandparents, two adults (including me) and one kid at 6 with a stroller and walked all the way from WoC PP to the 2nd show of F! and got a good sitting spot. We got to get a sitting area right at the ROA and it was around 10pm when we got the spot. We had to go through all the people who were watching the fireworks at Sunshine Plaza, outside the main gates of DL & DCA and MS. We got to the Hub when the fireworks was over and still got a good spot for the 2nd show of F!. If you don't stop for the fireworks, it is possible to get a sitting spot for F!.

We are finally back to our 4 week mark. Things are pretty much the same other than I am falling behind in my classes. Wanted to be ahead a lot more than I am so I wouldn't have to do my finals at DL. So now I guess I need to stay off this site and MW and get moving. I am off tomorrow so I plan on working on homework most of the day...but have to take kids swimming since I promised. Wish me luck.

Hope you don't mind my putting in my two cents. I just wanted to reiterate what Bret said in response and that you should be able to do it if you keep walking through the Fireworks. I was able to do it once for sure (I think a second time I had gotten back to DL to ride BTMRR before the fireworks were over and then was walking towards POTC when Fantasmic started). Evenw ith the kids you should be able to make it, just keep a-moving!

As it worked out it took about 40 minutes to eat and we left at 8:02 which got us mixed in with the front of the general guests. ST since it was MM went from 45 minute wait to 75 minutes may it was 5 longer or shorter. We were in the FP line which took 10 minutes and had a return time of 10am.

The question is really about how fast the kids can eat when characters are coming up every few minutes and the forks are set down each time.

Just keep an eye on the clock and if you don't want to buy your group picture taken on entrance to the Plaza Inn, skip that and it will save a few minutes.

If we had left today as originally planned we would be on our way right now. BUt, as has been said...the crowds have been pretty crappy the last couple days and probably only gonna get worse.

No kidding. The line for ST was crazy that day. When we got our FP on that Tuesday morning during MM, the standby wait time was already at 75 minutes. You were right Matt that we had to wait close to 10 minutes just to get a FP for ST. Luckily, we got a good returning time then a very late time.

Well, nothing has changed this week. We will be down to 3 weeks tomorrow. Hope it hurries up. I am getting behind in my classes instead of ahead. This last week has been hectic at work(4th of July guests) and hubby is home for 4 days and doesn't like me to be on the computer the whole time. SO instead of being way ahead I am working on a week and a half ahead. Maybe after Wed I will be able to get going again.

Going to go shopping this week for our clothes for the trip. I know I bought a few things already but still need to get the luggage and I want some new clothes. Still have to get the things to make shirts(I think I am gonna do this option.) Also need to buy ponchos and soda and water.
Ok off to work. Hope everyone has a great 4th.

If you get to the ST FP queue about 5 minutes before the park opens, you and your group will get your FPs before that crazy mob of people come over to TL and get their FPs.
