Anyone do the snorkeling adventure with Stuart Cove in Nassau? This is not through DCL. Any input is appreciated

We did this in 1999 and it was great - 1/2 day, they took us to two great spots and then added a dive with sharks, very cool. They used chum to attract them, then lowered the "bait" in a box down about 30 ft so you could snorkel above them-the sharks couldn't have cared less about the people in the water. The snorkeling was much better than at Coki Beach from the cruise.

We did this also in '99. Very similar experience to the prior post. If I remember, it was a little less expensive than the cruise lines excursion. My comments: I get very cold in water & had to go in b/c my 5 year old was going. I was the only person to rent a wet suit & was glad I did (we were there in November). Everyone was envious. It was 10. They did not offer floatation vests then (like they use at CC). Don't know if they do now or if it is an option. Didn't know enough to ask. The ocean was overwhelming for my five year old (who has been swimming since he was 3). No platform off the boat (if I recall)-there was a rope to hold on to, but wasn't enough for him. The others in the party thought the water was great. Our excursion got off to a late start & we were very late for our early seating. They dropped off other people from hotels on the way back to the ship first. My suggestion is to watch the time & let them know when you have to be back.

I forgot to add, bring a snack from the ship. They had drinks & something else, but it wasn't enough.
