I just found a little one wheel thing that you connect to your stroller that lets a toddler ride along side the stroller,It's called a BiBi Has nyone ever used on of these at Disney?

Are you sure it only has one wheel? I have seen something like that but it has two wheels. One wheel would be pretty hard to balance.

Yes thats it.Have you ever seen one used at a Disney park?
I found it this weekend and I thought about hooking it up to my DD power wheelchair so her little boy could ride when he gets tired.

First, power wheelchairs don't usually have a lot of places where anything like that could be attached. We have had challenges attaching things like a water bottle holder and the mount for her talking device.

I also don't think it would be very safe to have something attached to the power wheelchair. That hook on thing is meant to have someone walking next to it. I'd be very afraid to have a small child on something behind a power wheelchair because the child could easily fall off. Even though they look like they are going slow, a power wheelchair at slow speed is probably going close to 3 miles per hour - enough for a child to get hurt badly if they fall out.
She would also be likely to get stopped with it on the wheelchair; the WDW website lists some things that are not allowed into the parks. The list includes things attached to and pushed or pulled by ECVs, wheelchairs or strollers.

I've never seen one used at the Disney parks (or one in real life, for that matter). You may want to check with Disney to see if they'd allow it as they have a policy against having children in things that get pulled, like wagons, and this may fall under that policy.

They may allow a buggy board ( http://www.amazon.com/Lascal-3G-Buggy-Board%2d-Black/dp/B000EN1K0C ) that he can stand on behind the wheelchair or something similar but it's worth checking first to avoid any disappointment.

I still don't think a child standing behind a power wheelchair on anything would be safe though.

Having anything attached to her power wheelchair might void the power wheelchair warranty. It would also greatly limit what attractions she can go on. It would be too long to negotiate many of the lines and the power wheelchair would not fit on most ride cars and/or theater spaces with it attached. Also, to get into many wheelchair spaces, you need to back in, which would not be possible with something attached to the back.

Thank you so much, I read the list of items not allowed in the parks and it was on iy. Now thank goodness we won't haul it all the way down there just to be told that its a no no. I am again greatfull for these boards and all you people who respond . I am a grandmother who is taking all three grand children and their Mom to Disney alone this year and I have to say I can use all the help I can get...Thanks again.

How old are the grandchildren?

I have a seven yr old a four year old and the baby turns one at Disney in Jan.
We had this trip planned around her birthday. First haircut and all.Their Dad has backed out of going so it's up to me.Mom is in a wheel chair so I am goona have my hands full. I am hoping Disney will get them all in better moods after a rough year.

Follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread. Post #6 of that thread is about Guest Assistance Cards, which might be helpful to you. Since you will have 2 small children, you may be able to explain your/her needs and be allowed to use a stroller as a wheelchair. This means that the stroller for the 1 yr old and 4 could be used in lines the same as the mother's wheelchair is. That would be helpful to ensure the safety of such small children.
