We have decided to bring strollers for our children (small umbrella-like types). How easy is it to get on the monarail with strollers? How does this work? Do you have to take the kids out and fold them? Obviously I haven't been on one!

Thanks! :earsboy:

Umbrella strollers will roll onto the monorail with ease. (It is a 6" step up, however)

It's the larger double-wide strollers that may have challenges.

I've never had trouble rolling my stroller right onto the monorail and I never had to take my child out. However, I have never used a double stroller.

No problem with double stroller either. Just push down on handle to raise up front wheels (as you would for a curb) and wheel right in! :cool1:

When the monorails were busy during our May trip, we had to fold-up our umbrella strollers and carry the little ones. At slower times, we didn't have to do so.

I was about to post a similar experience.

Unless our kids were asleep or really tired and the car was quite empty we would take them out. We always used a backpack as a diaper/kidstuff bag and always had it ready to grab if we did have to fold up. If the monorial is crowded it is much easier to fold the stroller as well as making more room for others.

We've been in June and August (both very busy times) and I've never had a problem wheeling my stoller onto the monorail because of it being full. Although....we take the bus from our resort to the parks. We only use the monorail when we go from MK to Epcot or vice versa or when we are traveling to one of the resorts for a meal. Still...no problem at all.

We took two strollers on the monorail at all times in May and never had a problem getting them in or folding them-- if it was full we just waited for the next one, only a few minutes. Sometimes the kids didn't want to sit in the strollers after we got on so we just pushed them in a corner-- never folded them once-- it was GREAT!
